1. GENERAL INTRODUCTION
Series ZQ pump is a single stage, bottom suction, vertical centrifugal submersible pump.
The pump is integrated with the motor and works by submerging in water. It is suitable for
delivering abrasive slurry of below 40 for metallurgical, mining, coal, power plant,
petroleum & chemical, building material, municipal projects, etc. The specific gravity of
slurry should not exceed 1.5, and the PH value is 6~8.

2. CONSTRUCTION
ZQ pump is equipped with the motor, and the standard supply is as follows: 380V for low
voltage, 4000V for high voltage, frequency is 60Hz. If power system frequency is 60Hz,
please make a note in the Purchase Order.
Viewing from the motor end, the pump rotates clockwise. The sling on the upside of the
pump is used to lift the pump. The cable setter is used to prevent cable from being broken
by pulling.
HJ-30# Mechanical oil should be poured in the oil chamber. The mechanical seal is fixed in it,
and another oil seal is fixed outside.
According to the power rating of motor, the starter should be turned on by reduced-voltage
or direct start to control the auto-protection, auto-operation and single output of the pump.
Overload protector is fixed in the motor stator winding, humidity protector is fixed in the
motor chamber and leakage protector is fixed in the oil chamber. It also has the protective
function to prevent overheating.
The pump features are steady performance, non-clogging, high reliability, compact
construction, easy installation, and flexible removal.

10. Disassemble the cable box and the upper cover of the motor, remove all wires.
3.2Assemble
Assembly is the reverse process of disassembly. Check the rubber ring for the seal before
assembling. Replace the rubber ring if it is deformed. Must clean the bearing with kerosene
or alcohol and lubricate it with solid lubricant. Put the set screw accurately and closely in the
recess on the shaft sleeve, and clean up friction faces of pair of rotating and stationary rings
with alcohol or kerosene when assembling the mechanical seal. Clean the oil chamber
including the chambers of the pump cover, joint body, and motor lower cover with alcohol or
kerosene. Clean down all seal and fitting surfaces. Check the clearance between impeller
and pump casing front is 2~5 mm.
3.3Installation

Put the product flat wise and fill with HJ-30 machine oil.

Before putting the unit into water, the insulation resistance should be checked with 500V
Meg-ohmmeter. It should be less than 1 mega ohm.

The pump should be lifted vertically into water. When operating, the pump bracket must
be placed on a steady foundation. The bracket need not be fixed with foundation bolts.

The pump should not be sunk into sludge after the pump is placed water. Otherwise, it
will not operate normally.
3.4 Operation

Keep the motor operating within rated output and ensure three-phase voltage in
balancing state.

Meg-ohmmeter. It should not be less than 1 mega ohm. If it is less, check whether there
is oil drop or vapor on the stator coil. If any, must dry it up. The drying temperature
should not be higher than 120. Allow it to be dried up in the sun or by 500V lamp if a
drier is not available.

In order to protect motors, the pump is matched with a starting control box. It should
be installed in accordance with its services manual.

Must turn off power before removing, disassembling, assembling and maintaining.

The power should be in accordance with the rated voltage of the motor. Generally, it

Replace the oil in the oil chamber after first operating for 500 hours for the new unit,
and then check the oil periodically. It must be replaced when milky oil has occurred.

Close the outlet valve before starting the pump. Open the valve slowly after the motor
operates normally.
9.
It is best for the pump to operate within its best economic range. It means that the
actual capacity is 0.7~1.2 times of the design capacity.
10. After stopping the pump, flush the wet parts to avoid sediment reman in the inlet.
11. When it is not use, the pump should not be submerged in water for long. It should be
cleaned up and kept in a dry and airy place.
12. It is strictly forbidden to use a power cable as a lift cable.
3.5 Maintenance
1.
Check the insulation resistance of the motor to ground and at the three phase of the
motor periodically. The value should not be less than 1 mega ohm.

After the unit has operated for 2 years under normal conditions, it should be over
hauled, replace worn parts and check the fasteners.
3.
Do not strike the parts hard when disassembling and assembling the unit. Do not allow
any seal face to be any damaged.
