SAY JPIA: TENTATONIX

I.

INTRODUCTION
The TENtatonix is a new group sing and dance competition administered by the
Non-Academics Department of the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants
Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila Chapter. It is done during SAY JPIA
composing of participants from different year levels to observe camaraderie
and to promote the creativity and talent of PLM JPIAns when it comes to music.

II.

REQUIREMENTS
a. The competition is open to all bona fide members of the JPIA-PLM.
b. Each team shall be composed of exactly ten (10) members. At least two (2)
participants per year level are required to join this competition.
c. Non-compliance of participants corresponds to a deduction of 500 points per
person.
d. Substitution is allowed. However, the substitute must be of the same year level as
that of the replaced participant. This act is then equivalent to a deduction of 250
points per person. Substitution of participants from different year levels is deemed
non-complianceand therefore corresponds to a deduction of 500 points.
e. The complete and final list of participants shall be sent via e-mail alone by the
team leader or one (1) team representative on or before 11:59 PM, November21,
2015. Any mode of submission other than that will not be honored. The official

An official list of the songs chosen by the team shall be sent via e-mail alone by
the team leader or one (1) team representative on or before 11:59 PM, three (3)

III.

RULES AND MECHANICS


a. Each team shall prepare one presentation comprising of two genres of
performing arts namely singing and dancing.
b. The presentation requires to have songs from years 2014 and 2015 only. The
team has the discretion on how they will mash-up their chosen songs into one
creative piece. Non-compliance to the required years of the songs will result to a
deduction of 100 points per song.
c. The presentation requires the incorporation of Tunog Tao in their performance creating sounds using their body parts as instruments.
d. In line with this, the use of any musical instruments is strictly prohibited. Noncompliance with the theme will result to disqualification.
e. The presentation shall only last from three(3) to five (5) minutes.
f.

Any time deficiency or excess will lead to a deduction of .5% per 15 seconds and
any fraction of it to their final score.

g. Any costume, props, and anything similar are allowed. However, the use of
sharp,

pyrotechnic,

and

other

damage-causing

equipment

are

strictly

prohibited.
h. The order of performances shall be determined through draw lots before the
start of the program.

As soon as the program is about to start, the participants are required to be


settled at the backstage.

j.

During the program, once the teams name is called to present, their time starts
running.

k. If doubts arise as regardsto the mechanics of the competition, the decisions of


the organizers shall prevail and shall be final and irrevocable at all times.
IV.

CRITERIA AND JUDGING


a. The organizers have the sole discretion in selecting the number of judges.
b. Participants are not allowed to have any conversation with the judges as soon as
the event starts. Violators will be given a warning.

SAY JPIA: JFEELING IDOL


I.

INTRODUCTION
JFeeling Idol is a singing competition administered by the Non-Academics
Department of the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants Pamantasan ng
Lungsod ng Maynila Chapter for those students who want to explore their talents
in singing. It is done during SAY JPIA composing of two rounds, namely: Feeling
Solo and Feeling Smule.

II.

REQUIREMENTS
a. The competition is open to all bona fide members of the JPIA-PLM.
b. Each team is required to register two (2) participants for the contest.
c. Last years Top 3 winners are prohibited to join this years competition.
d. Non-compliance of participants corresponds to a deduction of 500 points per
person.
e. The complete and final list of participants shall be sent via e-mail alone by the
team leader or one (1) team representative on or before 11:59 PM, November
21, 2015. Any mode of submission other than that will not be honored. The official

f. All music must be sent to the official Facebook account of PLM JPIA
www.facebook.com/jpiaplm.ncrwest in MP3 format alone, on or before 11:59
PM, three (3) days before the said date of the competition. The file name must
include the word JFeeling with the team name and the contestants surname
(e.g. JFeeling DemigodsFerreras).
g. Deduction of 250 points per succeeding day will be imposed for late submission
of requirements.

III.

RULES AND MECHANICS


a. Each participant shall prepare a song number with a duration of one (1) to two
(2) minutes.
b. Any time deficiency or excess will lead to a deduction of .5% per 15 seconds and
any fraction of it to their final score.
c. The participant has the sole discretion in choosing his/her music for the Feeling
Solo round.
d. The Top four (4) participants who accumulated the highest points will proceed to
the final round.
e. For the Feeling Smule round, all finalists will sing Flashlight by Jessie J using the
Smule Application. This will determine the 4th, 3rd, 2nd, and 1st Placer for this years
competition.
f.

Use of instruments and other accompaniments are not allowed. Singing in A


Capella is also not allowed.

g. Any costume, props, and anything similar are allowed. However, the use of
sharp,

pyrotechnic,

and

other

damage-causing

equipment

are

strictly

prohibited.
h. The order of performances shall be determined through draw lots before the
start of the program.
i.

As soon as the program is about to start, the participants are required to be


settled at the backstage.

j.

Wearing of school uniform and P.E. uniform is also prohibited.

k. If doubts arise as regards to the mechanics of the competition, the decisions of


the organizers shall prevail and shall be final and irrevocable at all times.

THE VOICE OF JPIA PLM: The Battles

I.

INTRODUCTION
The voice of JPIA PLM is a pioneer event spearheaded by the Non-Academics
Department. This is intendedto highlight the golden voices of PLM JPIANs, to
boost their confidence, and toignite their sense of competitiveness. This event is
composed of three rounds The Blinds, The Battles, and The Finale.

II.

REQUIREMENTS
a. The Top Eight (8) qualifiers will perform in The Battles round.
b. All music must be sent to the official Facebook account of PLM JPIA
www.facebook.com/jpiaplm.ncrwest in MP3 format alone, on or before 11:59
PM, three (3) days before the said date of the competition. The file name must
include the word Voice and the block number (e.g. Voice BSA IV-1).
c. A deduction of 250 points per succeeding day will be imposed for late
submission of requirements.

III.

RULES AND MECHANICS


a. The eight (8) qualifiers will be paired up according to the genre of the song that
they will sing in the second round. Thus, four (4) battles will be created through
draw lots before the event.
b. The pairs will choosetheir songs among the Organizers Picked Songs for each
genres.
c. Each pair will sing together. They have the sole discretion on how they will
arrange their song choice and whole performance.
d. Use of instruments and accompaniments are not allowed. Singing in A capella
is also not allowed.

e. Any costume, props and anything similar are allowed. However, the use of sharp,
pyrotechnic, and other damage-causing equipment are strictly prohibited.
f.

The order of performances shall be determined through draw lots before the
start of the program.

g. As soon as the program is about to start, the participants are required to be


settled at the backstage.
h. If doubts arise as regards to the mechanics of the competition, the decisions of
the organizers shall prevail and shall be final and irrevocable at all times.
IV.

DANCE FUSION: FEMinism

I.

INTRODUCTION
Dance fusion is a dance-duo competition administered by the Non-Academics
Department with variations to be revealed in the succeeding rounds. This aims to
highlight the versatility of each dancer as he/she tries to harmonize his/her
moves with his/her partner.

II.

REQUIREMENTS
a. The Top 10 (pairs) qualifiers will perform in the second round.
b. All music must be sent to the official Facebook account of PLM JPIA
www.facebook.com/jpiaplm.ncrwest in MP3 format alone, on or before 11:59
PM, July 21, 2015. The file name must include the word Fusion and the block
number (e.g. Fusion BSA IV-1).
c. Deduction of 250 points per succeeding day will be imposed for late submission
of requirements.

a. Each pair shall prepare a dance number with a duration of one (1) to two (2)
minutes.
b. Any time deficiency or excess will lead to a deduction of .5% per 15 seconds and

c. For the FEMinismRound, only FEMME genres are allowed (e.g. G-Style, Vogue,
Dance Hall, and Wack). Strictly NO OTHER GENRES will be honored. Noncompliance with the required genre will result to disqualification.
