Sub: Staging of 48 th West Bengal State Shooting Championship, 2015 in Rifle and Pistol (Small
Bore & Air) events at North Calcutta Rifle Club, Belgachia, Kolkata, from 30th September to 4th
October, 2015.
Dear Sir/Madam,
It has been decided to hold the 48 th West Bengal State Shooting Championship, 2015 in Rifle and
Pistol (Small Bore & Air) events at North Calcutta Rifle Club, Belgachia, Kolkata, from 30th
September to 4th October, 2015.
The championship will be organized by North Calcutta Rifle Club under the patronage of West
Bengal Rifle Association as per match details attached.
Those competitors who want to participate in these competitions are requested to go through the
following instructions carefully for their own convenience and to ensure smooth and successful
conduct of the above competitions.
1. All the matches will be conducted according to NRAI Match Book 2015.
2. A specimen of Entry Form has been attached herewith for use. For more Entry Forms, this may be
photocopied. The Entry Forms duly completed and signed by the President / Secretary of the unit,
should be sent to WBRA Office so as to reach this office on or before 21 st September, 2015. The
Entry Fee should be remitted by Cash / Bank Draft in favour of WEST BENGAL RIFLE
ASSOCIATION, payable at Kolkata. Late entries, if any, will be accepted with three times the
normal fee up to 26 th September, 2015. No entry will be accepted after this date. An advance
copy of Entry Form duly filled in may be sent via e-mail to wbra19@yahoo.com. However the
hard copy must be sent to WBRA before the competition starts. Entry fee will not be refunded
except in the event of the match being cancelled.
3. THOSE SHOOTERS WHO HAVE NOT STILL SUBMITTED WBRA SHOOTERS ID
APPLICATION SHOULD COMPULSURARILY SUBMIT THE SAME ALONG WITH
ENTRY FORM. ENTRY OF THE SHOOTERS WITHOUT WBRA SHOOTERS ID
APPLICATION FORM WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. THE AFFILIATED UNITS WILL
SUBMIT ENTRY FORMS AND SHOOTERS ID APPLICATIONS IN SEPERATE
ENVELOPS ALONG WITH RESPECTIVE FEES.
3. ENTRY ONCE SUBMITTED CANNOT BE ALTERED.
4. The competitors cards duly completed will be delivered at WBRAs camp office at North Calcutta
Rifle Club.

5. Those who are below 21 years and 18 years of age as on 31st December 2015 will be considered
under the category of Juniors (1995 onwards) and YOUTH (1998 onwards) respectively for the
Championship. All competitors entering for specific age category events must attach attested copy of
their age proof.
6. i) Competitors of Youth category are also eligible to participate in Junior and Open
Category.
ii) Competitors of junior category are also eligible to participate in Open Category.
7. Shooters taking part in Open sight events are not allowed to take part in Peep sight events or vice
versa.
8. Shooters taking part in Rifle events are not allowed to take part in pistol events or vice versa.
9. Ammunition will be issued against cash payment only on valid arm license of
Association/Club/Individual or proper special permit issued by the Licensing Authorities. Unused
rounds and empties of used rounds must be returned to WBRA.
10. Only three (3) shooters may be allowed to use common weapon. The names of shooters likely to
use common weapon should be intimated together with the weapon number to the Organizing
Secretary in advance to enable to work out the details for the conduct of the relevant matches.
11. Medals will be awarded as per following :
a) Four or more shooters in an Event: - 3 Medals
b) Three shooters in an Event:- 2 Medals
c) Two shooters in an Event:- 1 Medal
d) One shooter in an Event:- NO MEDAL
Medal winning shooters must be present at the Prize Distribution Ceremony. Medal of the
absentee medal winning shooter will be forfeited.
12. A) Team Events would be conducted in ALL EVENTS.
B) In the Team Events, entry of maximum two teams will be accepted from each individual club/unit
per match. A shooter can be included in only one team of his / her respective unit in a particular
match.
C) For team medals, rules will be same as referred in instruction No. 11. Only shooters in that rule
will be replaced by Team
D) Entry for team events will be received up to one hour before the start the relevant match.
13. Matches will start 09.00 Hrs. Shooters will be permitted to shoot only in the details and lanes
allotted to them. No requests regarding preference/change of firing points/relays/date will be
entertained. Protest fee is Rs. 500/14. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to amend the rules at any time at its sole discretion
for events/circumstances beyond control. Any decision made by the Organizing Committee in any
such matter will be final.
15. All participants are expected to abide by the rules and regulations for the competitions. Discipline
on and off the field is very essential. Shooting practice in hotels is strictly prohibited.
