To whom it may concern,

I am writing in application for a position as a legal assistant at Littles Lawyers as I believe such an opportunity
is exactly what I have been searching for.
As an ongoing Undergraduate Law student at the University of Queensland, I am in constant revision and study,
and therefore familiar with legal terminology. I am very comfortable using a computer, and proficient with
Microsoft Office, with a typing speed of over 100wpm. As per my resume, I have worked in food production in
McDonalds and also as a High School tutor, both of which have helped develop my interpersonal skills; replying
to phone calls/messages and building rapport with students and co-workers alike are second nature to me. Also,
handling office equipment such as photocopiers, fax machines etc. are a part of my daily life.
Additionally, working as part of a High School tutoring organisation has been a great introduction to the office
environment, and I believe I have demonstrated through it the capacity to be both personable and professional
in my conduct. English tuition, especially, requires a keen eye for detail and consequently, I have learned to
spot errors in syntax, incoherent ideas and the such. These skills would be valuable in identifying similar errors
in legal documents and informing the appropriate action.
Despite my perceptiveness, I am very flexible, able to multitask well and improvise, adapting to situations like
students cancelling, customers complaining etc. These things considered, I believe I possess the skills to be of
valuable assistance to attorneys, though I am always open-minded and seeking improvement. In addition, I
speak Chinese fluently, as well as read and write to a proficient degree, which allows for flexibility and ease of
communication between myself and clientele if necessary.
Thank you in advance for your consideration, and feel free to contact me through any medium.
Sincerely,
Andrew Zhao
