SPECIAL POWER OF ATTORNEY

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:

That I, XYZ, of legal age, married, a resident of Binitayan, Daraga, Albay and
plaintiff in the case entitled XYZ vs ABC, for Unlawful Detainer docketed as Civil Case
No. 0000 pending before the Municipal Trial Court of Daraga, Albay, have constituted
and appointed my lawyer, ATTY. JUSTICIA MARIA NERIA GLORIA, as my true and
lawful attorney-in-fact, for me and in my stead, to represent me in said case and to do
and perform any and all of the following acts and deeds:
a. To prepare or cause to be prepared, sign and execute any document or
pleading required to be submitted and filed in connection with the aboveentitled cases, such as but not limited to Pre-trial Brief, motions and other
pleadings.
b. To attend and represent me in all stages of the cases, including the
preliminary conference, pre-trial conference, trial of the case and appear
during the mediation proceedings before the Philippine Mediation Center.
c. To agree to an amicable settlement or to submit to any of the alternative
modes of dispute resolution of said cases, under such terms and conditions
as my attorney-in-fact may deem proper.
d. To simplify the issues of the cases; to stipulate or admit certain facts or
documents; to limit the number of witnesses; to agree to a preliminary
reference of issues to a commissioner.
e. To amend the pleadings, which my attorney-in-fact may deem proper.
f.

To agree to rendering judgment on the pleadings, or summary judgment, or

dismissal of the action on valid grounds.

g. To agree in suspending the proceedings, if necessary and to agree to such

other matters as may aid in the prompt disposition of the case.
HEREBY GIVING AND GRANTING unto my said attorney-in-fact full power and
authority to perform all and every act necessary or requisite to perform and carry into
effect all the foregoing acts, as fully as to all intents and purposes as I might or could
lawfully do if personally present, and hereby ratifying and confirming all that my said
attorney shall do by virtue hereof.
