Workflow

Each group will need to follow a disciplined timeframe in order to have their film ready for submission. Below is an approximate workflow each group must follow.

WEEK 3
Students draI their
storyboard and script,
as appropriate. These
should include all
relevant details. At this
point, groups should
assign roles to each
member if they have
not already, including
actors, director, writers,
animators etc.

QA Check

Teachers evaluate the


synopsis, working with
each group to ensure
that it is specic to the
theme and achievable
within the Dmeframe.

Storyboard/Script

WEEK 2
Students draI a
synopsis for their
project, outlining the
concept, the story, the
characters and seKngs
(as appropriate). The
theme should be
evident in the synopsis.

QA Check

WEEK 1
Students brainstorm
and decide upon a
concept for their lm.
Groups may decide on a
style (animaDon, live-
acDon etc) at this point
or later in the process.

Before producDon
begins, teachers may
conduct a second round
of quality assurance, to
ensure that the group is
ready to move into the
ProducDon phase.

For animaDon
projects, groups
begin capturing the
stop-moDon or
other animaDon as

WEEKS 8 & 9
This stage involves
ediDng the footage
adding sound eects and
music as needed
adding overlays (Dtle,
credits)
adding 5 seconds of black
screen to the start and
end
rening and polishing the
lm ready for submission

WEEKS 6 & 7
Students source
and/or create any
music and sound
eects needed for
their project.

Post ProducDon
