Method
1.
Put the students into secure pairs and tell them that they can choose whether to work individually
or whether to ask each other for help.
2. Explain the aims of the lesson using the learning outcomes on My Action Plan Grade 11.
3. Introduce the lesson by recapping on previous action planning from grade 10.
4. Give out or ask the students to retrieve their previous action planning from grade 10 and review
sheets.
5. Give out and go through My Action Plan Grade 11and the Info Sheet.
6. Discuss the differences in the two action plan formats i.e. grade 11 requires students to go into
more detail about their plans.
7. Emphasise the importance of basing decisions on up-to-date information and of getting as much
help and advice as possible.
8. Ask the students to complete their Grade 11 Action Plan and arrange to review them at a future
date.
9. Ask the students what they have learned from the lesson.
10. Summarise the main learning outcomes.
