The things I would do as an administrative worker is to check emails three times

a day during early morning, before lunch and in the afternoon. Also, check the
postal mail daily at 10 am. Lastly answer telephone calls.
Some procedures I need to follow and abide to:
Telephone Policy Procedures
-Answer all incoming calls by the third ring
-Calls to the general telephone no will be answered by reception and transferred
to the relevant extension as necessary.
Postal mail policy and Procedure
-Check mailbox daily 10 a.m.
-Open all mail
-Sort mail into in-trays by: manager, sales, accounting/purchasing, hr, customer
service, to be filed (include newsletters, pricelist and product information.)
-Confidential information must be delivered directly to the person specified.
-High priority items must be marked urgent and delivered directly to the person/
department in question.
Email policy and procedure
-Check email 3 times daily
-Read all email to manager, sales, accounting/purchasing, HR
-When you forward the email, identify the appropriate persons name from the
contact list and provide some explanation of the email.
