Continental Tire faces a social responsibility to include minority and small disadvantaged
companies because taxpayers are footing the bill for a portion of the project.

WITH MISSISSIPPIS LONG STANDING HISTORY OF LACK OF INCLUSION (LESS THAN 2%) and
CONTINENTAL TIRES RECENT HISTORY (SOUTH CAROLINA PLANT LESS THAN 2%)
MISSISSIPPI MINORITY & SMALL DISADVANTAGED BUSINESSES HAVE VERY LITTLE CHANCE
OF PARTICIPATING ON THIS PROJECT.

Lets bring Light to the Issues!!

Continental Tire

has not adequately provided outreach, the information, and/or

assistance for minority/small disadvantaged businesses to be included on this project.
REQUESTING

Continental Tire to acknowledge deficiencies and immediately increase inclusion efforts.

U.S. Representative Bennie G. Thompson to look into these matters.

U.S. Department of State -Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization

to look into these matters.

American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) to look into these matters.

*Continental Tire information request to include the following:

1. A copy of all current directives, initiatives and written policy requiring or encouraging the
prime contractors to undertake a greater role in making Mississippi minority and small
disadvantaged individuals businesses more inclusive on the Continental Tire plant
project.
2. Specific details on what role Continental Tire intends to play to improve upon Mississippis
continued lack of diversity and inclusion.
3. A greater level of transparency in diversity and inclusion efforts.
