The purpose of this assignment is to provide a framework within which the
learner can:
understand how self-managed learning can enhance lifelong development
be able to take responsibility for own personal and professional development
be able to implement and continually review own personal and professional
development plan
be able to demonstrate acquired interpersonal and transferable skills
Scenario
As part of your annual appraisal at work you are required to assess and develop a
range of professional and personal skills in order to promote future personal and
career development. In a professional context, you are required to organise, manage
and practise a range of approaches to improve your performance as a self organised
learner.
Task 1 Role Play and Presentation
You must prepare and deliver a presentation evaluating your progress in achieving
learning objectives as well as
a) identifying how you communicate in a variety of styles and appropriate manner at
various levels
b) showing application of your awareness of how people learn in order to identify
suitable methods for development
c) reflect from research, analyzing qualities of existing business entrepreneurs,
suggest ways in which lifelong learning could be encouraged

As part of your personal portfolio you should evaluate your learning and
development against original aims and objectives and then reset those objectives

You will need to produce a personal portfolio having self evaluated your current
skills and experiences using a skills audit. In addition you should produce and
