The training I had in the department of Agriculture is learning many experience each
day. I was exposed in the actual work in MAO, became familiar with the documents prepared by
the employees there. Aside from those things, I also learned to be more sociable and to adjust
myself in the environment where I am working at and who I am working with.
In more than two (2) months stay there, I learned many things not only those things that
are related to my course but also the things that I learned about the agriculture. As I was working
as a trainee of department of Agriculture, I learned to become a hardworking person. The time to
finish the task assigned to me is important, but it is also important that I should do it correctly. I
learn to appreciate even the simplest things. Also to understand that everything that was taught in
the school can be a tool that can be used in my future career, As I was conducting my training
there, I also learned to follow the instructions and to accept or admit my failure and should learn
from it as what my employees said to me.
After training, I realized that on the job training is not just a requirement to complete
but it is an opportunity to show what skills, knowledge, and talents that I have and also the
opportunity to experience the feeling of being a professional someday.

Guided by the principle that agriculture is a business, The DA implemented policy and
institutional reforms that freed agriculture markets, enabling the farmer to enjoy higher farm gate
prices.
The Agricultural development in different countries depends on its different climate,
culture and technologies. In civilized world, industrial agriculture based on large-scale
monoculture farming has become the dominant agriculture methodology. Modern Agronomy
such as plant breeding, Agrochemicals such as pesticides and fertilizers and technological
developments have increased yields from cultivation, but at the same time have caused
widespread ecological damaged and negative human health effects.
To counter the said negative effects, the government mandated a Republic act 10068 in
2010 known as organic agriculture act of the Philippines where its target is to make at least 5%
organic by year 2016.

The training I had in the Department of Agriculture is learning many experiences each
day. In more than two months stay there. I learned many things not only those things that are
related to my chosen course but also the things that are related in the department where I
assigned. I was able to realize the importance of theories that were discussed in the school. Also
to understand that everything that was taught in the school can be a tool that can be used during
my trainee and also my future career. Because during my On the Job training in the department
of agriculture, the terms that I have learned from school were used in the company where I was
conducting my training especially those terms related to the computer which is using Microsoft
excel and Microsoft word during they asks me to do some paper works mostly they used. Also
installing the application.
Aside from the theories that I have learned in school I also learned the things that
are not related to my course which is about the agricultural business.

From the very beginning of my On the Job training I was very excited and somewhat
nervous. Excited because that is my first day of duty and nervous because of the new
environment and I didnt have any idea of what kind of people they are.
Regarding the department that I assigned I dont have any issues and concern with
them. They are all good and kind that made me adjusts myself with their personalities and
attitudes. By the time that I was there, Ive feel that I am one of the employee of the department
of agriculture working like them. Some of them told me that I must do an office work but I insists
of cleaning the office, wiping the windows and tables because according to our instructor we
dont expect that our work is related to our course and now I dont have any issues and concern
with them.

It was April 18, 2016. Department of Agriculture this is the office where I was assigned
to conduct my on the Job training. On my first day of training I am very excited and somewhat
nervous because of the new environment and the new people surrounding me. I didnt have any
idea of what kind of people they are and it made me adjust myself with their personalities and
attitudes.
My training Supervisor accompanied me to my table where I will be staying during on
my On the Job Training. During that moment I felt that I was really an office girl already having
my own chair and table. The first task that I did on my first week is encoding and printing
documents and after that I helped Maam Ruth B. Talip printing the files about the CORN
ROGRAM REPORT.
Week 3, May 2 - 6

ZDS. Maam Ancita B. Gealon needs my help on how to save the file from the USB flash drive
to her laptop.
This 3rd week of duty was a very heavy week despite of it, I really learned a lot of socially
because I learned to adjust myself to the people I am with and I learned to socialize with them in
a good manner. I was able to handle the situation with them properly.
Week 4, May 9 13
During my fourth week of my On the Job Training, New tasks were assigned to me and
performing this task helps me to grow as an individual conducting training in the department. My
tasked was I entrusted to encode the farmers Association in every barangays and I print out the
file that I encoded to have a back up copy. Maam Anecita B. Gealon asks me for my help to
review the files that she encoded about the Article Cooperation of the LGU Tambulig,
Zamboanga Del Sur, while I am reviewing I was reading it at the same time that is why I was
able to learn new things as well.
This week, I was also started to be comfortable with the people I work with as well as in
the workplace.

with the people there. I became more comfortable with them compared to my first week of
training. I also entrusted to socialize with other people, especially those who are in a higher
position. I learned to handle some situations and adjust with the environment where I am

professional someday.

It was a great week for me and I was really satisfied with my task for this week. Despite
the times that I was just sitting on my chair in front of my table and waiting for my supervisor to
ask me to do something. I still learned to behave and to be alert whenever they call me.
