SBI PO Main 2015 Reasoning Section Analysis

This section primarily had questions of moderate to difficult Level and was a bit lengthy. There were questions
from Input & output, Syllogism, Inequality Comparison and Sitting arrangement(Linear & Circular). Here are

SBI PO Main 2015 Data Interpretation Section Analysis


SBI PO Main Exam focused on all the type of questions from Data Interpretation Section. Questions were on
Probability, Bar Charts, Pie Charts, Table & Mixed Chart, Permutation & Combination, Data Sufficiency etc.
Overall this section was lengthy & calculative, however, questions were not tricky. The overall level of difficulty
of the section was difficult. Here is the number of questions from each topic:

SBI PO Main 2015 English Analysis


The difficulty level of this section was easy to moderate. The Reading Comprehension Passage were lengthly.
section had questions on Error Spotting, Reading Comprehension, Fill in the Blanks (2 blanks), Para-jumbles &
Cloze Test. Here are the numbers of questions from each topics:
Reading Comprehension 2 passages with 10 questions each
Parajumbles 5 questions
Error Spotting 5 questions
Fill in the Blanks 5 questions with double spacing
Cloze Test 10 questions
Sentence improvement 5 questions

Reasoning Ability
Questions from Course of Action, Cause and Effect, Data Sufficiency, Statement and Argument, Higher Reasoning, Input & output,
Comparison of rank, Syllogism, Puzzles, all formed a part of this section. Puzzles were difficult, Input/Output was also difficult but
Syllogism was doable, Critical Reasoning was easy. The overall difficulty level of this section was moderate.
General Awareness/Computer/Marketing
This section consisted of questions from Static G.K. (Banking), Current Affairs, Computer Awareness and Marketing. The Questions
were mainly from the current happening of 3-4 months but also included some static questions. The Marketing questions were
analytical and the computer part was doable. Overall this section was easy.
Data Analysis and Interpretation
This section was heavily dominated by the questions revolving around percentages. Questions from Line Graph, Bar Graph, Pie Chart
and Table were asked in this section. Questions from Quadratic Equations were there. As compared to the last years SBI PO Exam,
this section was lengthier and more difficult.
English Language
Overall this was moderate. The section comprised of questions based on Antonyms/Synonyms, Error Spotting, Reading
Comprehension, FIB (2 blanks), Para-jumbles and Cloze test. The difficulty level of the Reading Comprehensions was difficult to
moderate. The 10 blanks cloze test was a tad bit difficult. The difficulty level of Error spotting, FIB and Para jumbles was easy to
moderate.
Part B- Descriptive paper:
The Descriptive paper includes just two questions, one was Letter Writing & the other was Essay Writing. It was mainly based on the
current happenings of the world. The descriptive paper was a real test for the students as they have to type their answers.
So overall it was a great but tough experience for the students, as this will help them to prepare very well in the upcoming Banking

Hello Everyone,
Many of you have already done with the first phase (Prelims) & started preparing for the next phase (Mains)
exam. Well, there is only 3 weeks left for SBI PO Mains 2016 Exam. All you are might be worrying about the two
things What will be the expected Syllabus? Which types of Questions can be asked in SBI
PO Mains Exam?

Expect the unexpected, thats what we have observed in SBI Clerk Mains & SBI PO Prelims 2016 Exam. So it is
expected that SBI will come up with new surprises in upcoming SBI PO Mains Exam. To beat the competition,
you need to aware about the exact syllabus of the exam, so that you can frame your strategies and implement
the same during the exam.
So, this article will give you detail insight about the expected syllabus of upcoming SBI PO Mains Exam.
First, let us check the new pattern of SBI PO Mains 2016 Exam Main Examination will consist of
Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 50 marks. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will
be online. Candidates will have to answer Descriptive Test by typing on the computer. Immediately after
completion of Objective Test, Descriptive Test will be administered.
The Objective Test has 155 questions spread over 4 sections General Awareness (Banking + Economy), English
Language, Data Analysis & Interpretation Reasoning + Computer Aptitude. The exam duration is of 3 hours.

Below is the expected Syllabus of the Exam:


I. Reasoning / Computer Aptitude (40 Qs)
Reasoning Aptitude Level (Tough) The level of the Reasoning section will be tough. The questions can
be asked from various topics like
(i) Input Output (Tough) (Double shifting)
(ii) Puzzle (Tough & Tricky) The level as well as the number of questions of Puzzle topics will be increased in
Mains exam also.
4 sets on Puzzle is expected to be asked in the exam
3 variables (department, likes different colour, lives in different cities)
2 varibales (floor & likes different colours)

Circular arrangement (with blood relation)


Linear Arrangement (with blood relation)
(iii) Inequality (Moderate) (Indirect with coding Symbol representation Ex: @=<)
(iv) Logical Reasoning (Tough) 7 to 8 questions is expected to be asked from this topic.
(v) Syllogism Or Miscellaneous Qs (Blood relation, Ranking, Direction, Coding Decoding) (Moderate) It is
expected that questions from Syllogism & coding decoding topics would not be asked in Mains
exam.
(vi) Data Sufficiency (Moderate)
Note: Total 35 or 40 Question is expected to be asked from Reasoning Section.
Computer Aptitude Level (Moderate)
It has clearly mentioned in the notification that Questions will be asked from Computer Aptitude not from
Computer Awareness. Already, we have observed the changes in the SBI Clerk Mains Exam. Computer
Aptitude questions is like a puzzle form and the level of the questions will be moderate & tricky, which
will based on Binary number digit. Only 5 or 10 Questions is expected to be asked from this section.

The difficulty level of this section would be of moderate level. The questions can be asked from various topics

(iii)Parajumbles (Moderate)
(iv) Spotting Error 5 Qs (Tough)

IV. General/Economy/Banking Awareness (40 Qs)
Level (Easy to Moderate)
It is expected that 25 questions will be asked from Current Affairs + Static Gk and rest15 questions will be
from Banking, Economy & Financial Awareness.

Current Affairs Questions can be asked from various topics like


New appointments, Awards & Honours, Sports, New schemes, National & International
news, Summits, Defense & Science News
Static GK can be asked from various topics like
Park, Dams, Lakes, Stadium, Headquarter of National Org. , Currency & Capital, Thermal Power plant, Airport
Banking & Financial Awareness Questions can be asked from latest Banking, Economy & Financial
News. News related to RBI, SBI, ICICI, HDFC, Abbreviations, other banking & economy news.
Clarification related time allotted for each section In the new pattern, fixed time allotted for each
section. The order of the section will be default by the server. You cannot move to another section randomly.
The order of the section is as follows
(i) General Awareness Section (35 min)
(ii) English Language (40 min)
(iv) Reasoning + Computer Aptitude (60 min)
(v) Data Analysis & Interpretation (45 min)
Descriptive Test:
The Descriptive Test of 30 minutes duration with 50 marks will be a Test of English Language (Letter Writing &
Essay). The candidates are required to qualify in the Descriptive Test by securing passing marks, to be decided
by the Bank.
Descriptive Test paper of only those candidates will be evaluated who have scored qualifying marks in
the Objective Tests and are placed adequately high as per total marks in objective test.
