Program Evaluation
Leadership training programs require certain recommendations when outlining an
evaluation plan. Recommendations for the evaluation plan consist of the following: Ways to
implement the evaluations and hiring qualified employees to oversee the program evaluation.
Detailed evaluation types, data collection techniques, and purposes of the evaluations or how the
evaluation results are to be used will also be compared to the positive impact on adult learning.
Along with evaluation types and data information, specific metrics to be measured will be
reviewed in the program evaluation.
Employees Responsible for Overseeing Program Evaluation
Employees that are responsible for overseeing the leadership training program evaluation
consists of managers, supervisors, and senior mentors. These employees are qualified with 3-5
years of life coaching experience. Each manager, supervisor, and mentor are located in the life
coach facilities for referencing or guiding coaching ideas and teaching methods.
Purpose and Results of Program Evaluation
The main purpose of the program evaluation is to assess learners. Assessments, such as
formal and informal, reveal various learning levels of the life coaches and provide feedback for
ongoing leadership trainings. Feedback results could vary from employee to employee; however,
additional information or results of the program evaluation could be used to produce a positive
impact on adult learning. An example of a positive impact through feedback could include
gathering additional information for ways to improve future trainings.
Evaluation Types and Data Collection
Types of evolutions consist of formal and informal measures. Formal evaluations include
assessing the team with training quizzes or exams. Informal evaluations could be observations in

training sessions and monitoring positive behaviors of employees in the workplace. Data will be
collected through an online software program and stored in a database.
Specific Metrics Measured
Performance metrics will be conducted and measured among employees in the life
coaching facilities. According to the General Electric Companys website article Measuring
Success: Making the Most of Performance Metrics (2015), performance metrics are referenced in
the workplace as a way to strive for business goals, reveal weaknesses among employees, and
identifying the importance of stakeholders (para. 2-5). Identifying goals for the business and
strengths or weaknesses in employees through performance metrics could benefit the life
coaching facilities.
