GUEST SPEAKERS
Dr. Janie Darr

Janie Darr has served as Superintendent of the Rogers School District for the past 17 years. Before her
current position, she was an English teacher and secondary counselor. Dr. Darr is involved in a variety
of community activities including the Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce, Early Risers Rotary,
United Way, the Rogers Public Education Foundation, and her church.

Dr. Rita Littrell


Dr. Rita Littrell serves as director of the Bessie B. Moore Center for Economic Education at the
University of Arkansas. Rita teaches Economics for Teachers undergraduate courses and works closely
with Economics Arkansas to serve area school districts on curriculum implementation. Recent
curriculum initiatives include economic development and social entrepreneurship. The Moore Center
has specialized in researching Arkansas entrepreneurs and developing programs and curricula to share
with teachers. Curricula developed include Whos Out to Lunch: The Economics of the Food Service Industry, Entrepreneurship: Arkansas Style, Economic Dimensions of Arkansas History, Oh, The Places We
Will Go...To Study: College Decision Making, The International Money Museum, and Financial Fitness
for Arkansas Teachers. Favorite programs include Economics by the Books, Immigration to Arkansas:
Costs and Benefits, Entrepreneurship in the ESOL Classroom, and Social Entrepreneurship. In 2013
Rita received the Kehler Technology Award for her use of technology to deliver economic education
programs. A favorite hobby other than butterfly gardening is discovering new childrens books that teach
economics.

Tami Allensworth

Tami Allensworth is Vice President of Transportation at J.B. Hunt. She began her career with J.B. Hunt
in 1987. In her 29 years with the company, she has held a variety of positions in Marketing Services,
Marketing and Customer Service and Sales. In 2007, Tami joined J.B. Hunts fourth business unit, Integrated Capacity Solutions (ICS), as a Director of Transportation. In addition to her current role as Vice
President of Transportation, she leads the talent management strategy for ICS and currently serves as
the president of J.B. Hunts first employee resource group, GROW (Growing and Retaining Outstanding
Women). Tami is the mother of three sons and one daughter and resides in Cave Springs with her husband, Rich, and their children. She is a member of Cross Church at Pinnacle Hills. Her hobbies include
traveling, shopping and spending time with her family.

Tracy Black
Tracy Black is Sr. Vice President of Information Technology for J.B. Hunt, supporting software development across the enterprise. Tracy graduated with Phi Beta Kappa honors from the University of
Arkansas where she earned her Bachelors of Science in computer science degree with a minor in
mathematics. Tracy began her career with J.B. Hunt in 1988. In 2007, Tracy was named one of Computerworlds Premier 100 IT leaders. Tracy has served as the chair of the NWA Network of Executive
Women and led the efforts to establish a mentoring program at J.B. Hunt. Tracy serves as J.B. Hunts
representative for Partners in Education and received the organizations partner of the year award in
2009. In 2011, Tracy was inducted into the Arkansas Academy of Computing and is currently serving
on its board. In 2014, Tracy was recognized by the University of Arkansas, receiving the Distinguished
Alumni Award for the College of Engineering. Tracy and her husband of 31 years, Scott, have two children. Shes an avid water skier and snow skier and loves to read and travel.

Jennifer Boattini

Jennifer Boattini is Vice President of Legal and Litigation at J.B. Hunt. Jennifer joined J.B. Hunt in
2006 as Director of Litigation and Contract Management. She graduated from the University of Arkansas, Magna Cum Laude, in 1994 with a B.A. in English. She earned her Juris Doctorate with High
Honors from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock School of Law in 1997. After working for the
Rose Law Firm in Little Rock for several years, Jennifer returned to Fayetteville where she established
her own law firm. In her practice of law, Jennifer represented area companies, including J.B. Hunt,
Tyson and Wal-Mart, in employment and commercial litigation matters. In 2002, Jennifer was included
in the Northwest Arkansas Business Journals Forty Under 40 list. Jennifer lives in Fayetteville with her
husband and seven-year-old daughter.

Jessica Brooks
Jessica Brooks is the Vice President of Sales for National Accounts at J.B. Hunt. She received her B.A.
from the University of Arkansas and has been with J.B. Hunt for 11 years. In her time with the
company, she has held various positions including: Logistics Engineer, Intermodal Pricing and Director
of Sales. Jessica is married and has two children. In her free time, she enjoys cycling and competing in
triathlons.

Rachel Christensen

Rachel Christensen is Director of Intermodal Marketing Operations at J.B. Hunt. She began her career
with J.B. Hunt in 2008 in Chicago, IL and held many positions in Intermodal Operations before relocating to the corporate office in Lowell in March 2016. Most recently, she was Director of
Intermodal Operations where she oversaw the day-to-day operations of the largest local fleet in J.B.
Hunts intermodal segment with more than 700 drivers servicing the Chicago metro area. She was a
key player in growing J.B. Hunts local owner-operator program in Chicago, which was established in
2011 with only a few drivers. It exceeds 300 drivers today. Rachel started her career in transportation
at a third-party logistics company following graduation from the University of Iowa in 2007.
She is an active member in J.B. Hunts womens employee resource group, GROW. In her free time,
she enjoys staying active, traveling, and rooting on the Chicago Sports teams...... until she masters
the Hog Call.

Holly Hall

Holly Hall is the Director of Business Solutions for the Driver Personnel and Safety departments at J.B.
Hunt. She received her B.A. in Accounting and Finance from the University of Arkansas in 2003. While
completing her degree, she interned at J.B. Hunt in the Human Resources department. In 2004, she
moved into a full-time role as a Human Resources Analyst, providing analysis on turnover and pay for
various departments. After two years, she moved into a new position as a Logistics Engineer for the
Driver Personnel department, working on process improvement for driver hiring. In her current role, she
manages a team of 10, continually working to innovate driver hiring in a difficult market and analyzing
safety to improve performance. Holly and her husband live in Rogers with their one-year-old son and
are expecting a daughter in July. In her free time, she enjoys spending time
outside, playing tennis, and traveling.

Karen Jewell

Karen Jewell is Director of Information Services at J.B. Hunt. She is a graduate of the University of
Arkansas where she received her B.S. in Industrial Engineering. In 2001, she joined the Engineering
& Technology group and worked for seven years as a Logistics Engineer across DCS, Intermodal and
Driver Personnel. Following her engineering experience, she worked for Nielsen, a marketing research
company, for four years consulting with Wal-Mart. In 2012, she rejoined J.B. Hunt as a Manager of
Information Services focusing on Application Development. In 2015, she was inducted into the
Arkansas Academy of Industrial Engineers and serves on the Recruitment, Retention and Readiness
of Undergraduate Students Committee. Outside work, she loves being a mom to her five-year-old son
and spending time with her family at Razorback sporting events and on their boat at Beaver Lake.

Jenni Kimpel
Jenni Kimpel is Director of Final Mile Network Engineering at J.B. Hunt. This role includes managing a
team of engineers, supporting $40 million in growth annually, improving network efficiency, and analytics.
She began her career at J.B. Hunt in 2006 as an Industrial Engineer and has worked in various roles related to IT and engineering that include project management, business analysis, webpage design, sales
forecasting, and reporting. Jenni attended the University of Arkansas and graduated Magna Cum Laude
with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering. She obtained her Masters of Business Administration from John Brown University while working full-time at J.B. Hunt. Jenni is on the board for the NWA
Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. She and her husband, Kyle, have two sons: Bradley James,
five years old and Greyson John, five months.

Erin Taylor
Erin Taylor is Vice President of Finance and Controller at J.B. Hunt. After graduating in 2001 from Lyon
College with a double major in Accounting and Economics, she completed her Masters of Accountancy at the University of Arkansas in 2002. Erin began her career at Ernst & Young, LLP, where she
worked in the audit division for five years prior to joining J.B. Hunt in 2007. Erins career at J.B. Hunt
has included Accounting Manager, Controller of Integrated Capacity Solutions, and most recently, Vice
President of Finance. Erin was an Arkansas Business Forty under 40 honoree in 2015 and recently participated in the inaugural Under 40 forum, which focused on ideas for attracting and retaining talent for
the state of Arkansas. She was a speaker during the TPA Supply Chain Conference in 2015, discussing
the topic, Supply Chain as a Leadership Path: Building Diversified Teams. Erin has previously served
on the Board of Directors for Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Northwest Arkansas and Dress for Success,
Northwest Arkansas. Erin lives in Bentonville with her two sons, Connor and Cole.

Michelle Thomas

Michelle Thomas is Director of Customer Service at J.B. Hunt. She began her career at J.B. Hunt in
1999 as a pricing assistant where she worked part-time while going to school. Around 2001, she transitioned to full-time as a customer service representative and has, since, held many different positions
including: Sr. Customer Service Representative, Customer Service Manager, Intermodal Manager and
also worked in Sales. Michelle has her Associates degree in Business and is always learning and
growing in her career. She has a passion to seek out ways to provide the best customer experience.
When Michelle isnt in the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband of almost seven years,
Colby, and their five-year-old daughter, Destin. She also enjoys cooking, reading, exercising and giving
back to the community through volunteer work.

Melinda Yeaman
Melinda Yeaman is Director of Intermodal Marketing Operations at J.B. Hunt. She began her career at
J.B. Hunt in 2002 working part-time while completing her degree in Small Business and Entrepreneurship from the University of Arkansas. Upon graduation in 2005, she held various positions in the Truck
and Integrated Capacity Solutions divisions. In 2009, she moved into Intermodal and in 2011, received
a scholarship to obtain her Masters in Intermodal Transportation from the University of Denver.
Melinda is chair of Professional Development for J.B. Hunts women employee resource group
GROW and a WISE mentor through the University of Arkansas. In her free time, she enjoys cooking.
