MODIFICATIONS/ ACCOMODATIONS
QUANTITY
Provide a shorter multiple choice
test.
Within the test eliminate one or
two choices based on their IEP.
Read test to student also based
on the IEP in a group setting.

INPUT
Student will be provided a
dictionary with tabs to the page
that the word is on for
vocabulary. Provide a copy of
vocabulary words with definitions
once the student completes
his/her own.

TIME
Allow some extra time for the
student that is level 2 or level 3
depending on RTI.

DIFFICULTY
May use word processor and
dictionary to help with the
vocabulary and creating of
project.

LEVEL OF
SUPPORT
Place in group with a mixture of
levels of students for peer
support.
Bring student to learning center
for a reteach to assess
understanding.

OUTPUT
Verbal responses to
teacher/instructional assistant.
Recording the students
responses so that he/she can go
back and write them down.
Type responses using a word
processor and a voice to text
recognition software.

PARTICIPATION
Have student assist with the passing out of handouts. Allow the student to lead his/her group with the
assistance of their peers. Keep the student actively involved in class.
