Electricity supply
1. General remarks
The device works on 10w voltage power from two sources in ventilated casing. The
main supply element is Iocated at the back of the device preventing any risk of
electrocution.
Important:
These partitioned power supplies do not have any accessible fuses. Contact your
technical support.
N.B: the presence of the different voltages displayed by leds on the interface
board (appendix E3).
2. First power supply
PC type power supply giving all boards the following voltages:
+12V
-12V
+5V
Power supply linked to the floppy disk driver and the system board, then to all other
boards via the expansion slots and cable layers.
It works on 50 or 60 Hz and there is a switch between the two EEC jacks for
changing to 115 or 230V.
3. Second power supply
Works on 30 VI 2 A, feeding the interface board.
Accepts from 47 to 440 Hz and 2 voltage ranges, switched over by internal strap or
automatic according to the version:
- 95 to 132V
-187 to 265V
4. Screen
Works on fixed voltage 220 V, 50 to 60 Hz. On request, it may be supplied with
different power supply voltages.

Description of electronic boards

Refer to block diagram : appendix E1.
1. System board
Board of 80386 or 80486 type. The program, written in an advanced language,
loaded in the core memory after power on.
The dialog with the peripheral boards L10-CI-FIL-30 and L10-CI-DIL30 is in mode 1/0
by reciprocal interruption.
2. Preamplifier board L10-CI-PRA20
It polarizes the two counting probes and amplifies the signals. The hemoglobin
determination system is on the preamplifier board.
3. Processing board L1O-PR-FIL3O
Made up of three structures with independent Z80 microprocessors. Each structure
has a specific task :
counting of red corpuscles
platelets
white corpuscles / hemoglobin.
The different signals are sorted out on peak width and height.
4. Mechanical / Fluidic management board L10-CI-DIL30
Two Z80 structures deal with the mechanical and fluidic management of the
device. They control all the fluidic functions and all the motors following the
program of the different cycles.
5. Interface board L1O-CI-INT-AA
Power interface board which is linked to the management board by a 60 lead
cable layer.
Diluter Inputs / Outputs :
needle mechanism
liquid syringe
from electrovalve EV1 to EV3
start button
red and green leds to start the system up.
Fluidics Inputs / Outputs :
volumetric counting sensor and drainage optic sensor
liquid micro-pump
from electrovalve EV4 to EVI 2
air syringe
