I considered my audience and ensured that the flier appealed to them;
and that it would make them want to not only get the idea of what it was
about, but to also take note of the details embedded in it, such as websites, dates and venues etc.
It was fun, and I cant wait to start a colourful flier.

Greatest Learning: The ability to make nothing to be something breathtaking with the use of two colours only.
The name of the title font is: They Perished, it was a fun font that I found on the
internet and felt that it embed well in the black and white scheme of things.

Brochure
I set up the gateway fold in Adobe InDesign. I split my layout into four
sections with the concept that the two outer sections would be the flaps
of the brochure and the two middle sections would be the body of the
brochure.
I used a repeating pattern that I cut out of the original front picture from
the full front picture throughout the brochure to create repetition and
flow.
I then placed the Old Couple picture into InDesign where I used the
text wrap option to wrap my text around the alpha channel of the image.
I created the logo in Illustrator using the pen tool and then I placed it
into InDesign. I placed the left half on the right flap and the right half on
the left flap so that when the brochure is folded the logo would come
together nicely. Programs/Tools Used:Adobe InDesign/Adobe Illustrator/
Adobe Photoshop
Message: Inform my audience about the Wedding Vows Renewal. I am
showing them through the brochure the life of the couple and basically
telling their story.
Audience: Friends and families of the couple.
Top Things I Learned: I learned how to wrap text around an image in
InDesign.

Celebrating the Marriage and Life of Ross and Clay Cook
Having met 27 years ago at the beach of Sandiago, California. Ross
and Clay are blessed with a beautiful opulent life full of laughter and
kindness.
They are blessed with 3 children, Nate, Natalie and Clay JR.
They are also blessed with five grand children. Maggie, Victor,
Samson, Solly and Ross JR.
On their wedding day, they briskly explored Paris for
their honeymoon; they spoke of the incredible walks
they took on the gorgeous streets of Paris. They later
explored Venice and Rome as they fully celebrated
being in each others arms.
Clay was already located in England. Ross
now his new wife joined him and they lived
blissful ten years in the United Kingdom,
in London.
They later moved back to the United States of America and settled
in Los Angeles, where they
raised their children and saw
to the end of their schooling
years.

Business Cards
Matching letterhead and business card designed using a personally
created logo for my Company. Crystal Concierge is my Own PR company
that I have been managing for over 5 years now.
I created the logo using simple shapes in Adobe Illustrator. Once the
logo was created, I opened a new two-page InDesign document and
placed my logo AI file into a document.
I decided to make a letterhead. I positioned the placed logo in the top
right corner of my letterhead. I then typed my contact information into
a text box and positioned it onto the bottom of the letterhead. I watermarked to give repetition and a unification to the document
On my second page I used the rectangle tool to create the front and
back outline of my business card. I then placed the logo on this page. I
kept the logo and contact information about the same size as the information on the letterhead. I placed a smaller logo and a slightly larger one
to also bring a unification to the companies image.

Message: The company is a lifestyle management company. It is an errand running company that deals with small scale to large scale businesses and they handle their product campaigns, celebrity tours etc.
Audience: PR agencies and potential clients.
Top things learned: How to brand a company using a unified letterhead
and business card design.
Color scheme: Tetrad and color names: Green, Yellow, Red and Purple.
Title Font Name & Category: Minion Pro Slab Serif

Photodesign

Description: Demonstrate a good photography and image editing skill.


Incorporating colour into a poster layout with an original photo.
Process: I formulated my plan by choosing a colour scheme , I decided
on a double complementary.
I took a picture with great natural light from outside. I contrasted the colours and bolded the colours to harden the feel. The pop of colour settles
well in the theme.
I organised my white space within the bigger picture with the farming
field as an inspiration to the farmers market event.
I created a mini collage that directs the flow of the eyes, I also ensure
theres a resting space on the clouds for the eyes.
The pictures with the arrows draw attention towards the centre of the
image, Unifying the overall image.
Overall it is a Gorgeous Mess!I aligned my text on the right-hand side of
my poster.
Message: It is an invite to a Farmers Market event hosted by BYUI in the
outside gardens of the Spori building.
Audience: The BYUI students and everyone in the small city of Rexburg
Top Things learned: Makin use of the color scheme and ensuring they
complement each other well.
Title Font: I used Adobe Devanagarl Bold to simplify it and to create a
logo around the windmill.

Event Ad
I used the word design programme. I scanned an image from a book and
used the background as my overall look and feel.
Message:
The Invitation to a charity event in Yellow stone while enjoying natures
marvels is clearly defined and articulated well.
Audience:
Education Stakeholders are my audience . This includes board members,
industry decision maker, school teachers and parents.
Ages vary from 25 years old and higher
Color scheme and color names:
I used a monochromatic colour scheme. I used a colour picker to allocate
color to my heading Giving using the watercolors that match with the
mountains and the overall look and feel of the Poster.
Top Thing I Learned:
The scanning process and the ability to maneuver around resources and
find a great image was a refreshing outlook for me.
Title Font Name & Category:
I used a sanserif to remake the logo, my heading is Herculanum, and the
body copy is Avenir.
My Logo is edited with Cambria.

Montage

Description: An inspirational montage made by the blending of two or


more images, and the use of typography.
Process: I cropped the background image to 8.511.I added the picture
of the forest and placed it in the background.
With black paint and a 100% opacity, soft-edged brush, I painted away
the hard image edges on the secondary picture of me and my son Nate.
With a larger black brush at 30% opacity and 30% flow, I blended the
image into the background.
I added one type of font and played with the colours and sizes to emphesise and to make the text more legible.
Programs/Tools Used: Adobe Photoshop
Message: I wanted to convey a love of a young growing family. The
future possibilities that lie ahead and the Faith behind not settling in
anything in life in pursuing individual goals and desires.
Audience: My audience varies from the ambitiously strong minded, to
the tender herted, to the weak in spirit. Anyone and everyone.
Top Thing Learned:How to gradually blend two images
Filter / Colorization used and where it was applied:I selected the forest
and increased the saturation to make the colors more vibrant.
Color scheme and color names:I used Triadic Primary Colours ; Blue,
Red and Yellow.

Web Page
A web page designed to showcase a personally crafted logo.
Process: I created this web page using TextWrangler and Firefox. The
http://www.W3.org HTML validator helped reconfirm my page and
ensure that I dint break anything in the process of finalizing the page.
After I marked up all my content and inserted my image, I attached a premade CSS document to my HTML. I maintained the colors from my logo
to retain the color scheme. I found these colors by opening Photoshop
and using the eyedropper tool. I declared some backup fonts just in case
the viewers browser didnt have these fonts. I also used padding around
the logo and text so that they would not be too close to the edge of the
web page. This was the most challenging parts of working with CSS.
Programs/Tools Used: TextWrangler & Photoshop
Message: Appeal to the young up and coming professionals and established executives, to trust in Crystal Concierge with their day to day
errand needs and Lifestyle management.
Audience: Young professionals and executives.
Top Thing Learned: How to change fonts and colors using CSS as well as
embedding the logo in to the website.
Color scheme and color hex: Tedtradic - Yellow, Purple, a lighter purple,
red and green
Title Font Families & Category: Helvetica, Avenir, San Serif
Changes made to the CSS: I made adjustments to the background to
give it a bigger broader unification of branding.I changed the font families, and I also changed the colors to match my logo.
