Programs/Tools:
Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign

Objectives:
Create a captivating brochure for a company advertising the Lord of the Rings.
Create a new logo to fit a company.
Use Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

Process:

I first edited the lighting of my images in Photoshop. I clipped three images: Frodo,
Sauron, and the ring. In Illustrator I created my logo and made the middle part of
my logo image transparent to give a nice affect when placed on the image of the
misty mountains. In InDesign I turned the opacity down for the image of the map as a
background. I text wrapped the image of the ring and I adjusted the transparency of
Frodo and Sauron for the front cover.

BUSINESS CARD

I first created the logo in Adobe Illustrator and then placed it in my InDesign document
for my business cards. I then created the business cards in Adobe InDesign. I used the
pen tool to make the exact shapes I wanted. I lightened the opacity of the design to
make the text more readable.

Create a letterhead to match the above business card.

Process:

I first created a logo in Adobe Illustrator. Using Adobe InDesign I created the letterhead
and placed my logo on it. To create the shapes used on the page I used the pen tool
to get the exact shape size and size I wanted. I then turned down the opacity of those
objects so it would not overpower any message written on it.

Course/Instructor:
COMM 130 Secion 01

Programs/Tools:
Adobe Photoshop

Objectives:
Practice and master Adobe Photoshop skills such as montage and color replacement.
Create a montage using at least two images.

Process:

I first edited the image of the two boys by adjusting the levels and colors as well as
changingthe color of the boys shirts from a light blue to an indigo to match the color
scheme. I placed the sheet music for Come Thou Fount to match my theme. I masked
the image by adjusting the opacity. To remove the sheet music image from the boys
faces I used the brush tool on 100% opacity. Following, I added text boxes. The gold
boxes I feathered to give more of a blended affect. I bolded the words which point out
blessings we have. I used right alignment for the boxes.

Objectives:
Create a personal logo.
Practice using the pen tool, type path and develop other skills in Adobe Illustrator.
Create a universal logo which can be seen on white, black, or another color/format.

Process:

After sketching and revising ideas I began working in Adobe Illustrator. Using the pen
tool, I drew the continents and placed them in the circle shape. Thus, I created a world.
I then chose my font, font sizes, and used type on a path tool to have the words The
World and my eyes have the curvature affect. I flipped the words my eyes so they
would be right-side up. I typed part of the word through on the left and then right side
to give the feeling that the world was part of the word through.

used a deeper form of the red to create a monochromatic color scheme. I used a Slab
