- Minimize the digging area by divided earth shield panels in two(L=3m).
- Make up front and rear parts to match each other with enhanced steel
quality, and adjust the interval of the timbering for variant geostatic
conditions, which is impossible with the existing Messer method
(6001000mm)
- Reduce the construction cost and period by not digging wide at the
curved line area
- Exercise simple digging without additional reinforcing materials.
- Eliminate the structural instability at the variant section due to uneven
stress
- Appropriate to tunnel bent by 90, acute angle, or obtuse angle
