Verify and restore LUN ownership

.1

cnlun610_R002

PowerPath should automatically trespass LUNs to the owning SP when the replaced SP is again
available for use.

Done

Verify that all LUNs are under correct SP ownership by clicking on Tools Trespassed LUN Status
from the main menu in Navisphere Manager. If any LUNs which are accessible by attached servers
are still trespassed, they will be in this table.
.2

If there are still LUNs in the trespassed state (not under control of the default SP owner) after 15
minutes, have the customer issue the following command from the server running PowerPath with
trespassed LUNs:

powermt restore
CAUTION: For AIX hosts only: If it is necessary to use the powermt restore command, see
Knowledgebase article ETA emc163961: AIX, PowerPath: AIX Host Lost access to storage during
powermt restore.
.3

View all available LUNs by entering the following PowerPath command:

powermt display dev=all class=clariion

.4

If LUNs from some attached server remain in the trespassed state while other do not, this must be
addressed separately from this procedure. It is unlikely that the SP is faulty if it is currently controlling
some LUNs.
