Aguirre Rojas Eduardo-This is what it's like to teach in North Korea

Introduction.
"Freedom of expression" today is an amorphous term between societies. And in some of
these societies, "Freedom of expression" is nonexistent.
Knowledge leads to truth and truth to freedom. Quoting Jean Paul Sartre "Man is
condemned to be free". Condemned because it has not created himself, and yet on the
other hand, free, because once thrown into the world is responsible for everything he
does.

Content
During the video, it was easy to perceive the anguish of Suki Kim, as he spoke of his stay
in North Korea, and for obvious reasons. North Korea despite its high literacy rate (mostly
men), turns out to be a broken system, as to "free thinking" refers.
It is difficult to conceive of the fact that they exist places like North Korea, where the think,
say and do, it is not a free act. Where all belief, hope and dream, it must be approved by
the "great leader", this authoritarian figure of power corrupted by his own imposition of
power.
Suki Kim refers to his students as "gentlemen" making clear his affection and respect, she
was concerned about the situation in North Korea, on the one hand she wanted to scream
the truth (encourage them to run after freedom), but knew this would endanger their
"gentlemen" to the point of political persecution.
"Being Gentiles in the North Korea ruthless is not a good thing" Suki Kim knew.
She was distraught at the idea of someday their students from becoming leaders of a
revolution, She compared it to the Arab Spring (she called him North Korean Spring,). In
my personal opinion, I think she participated in a moral dilemma (a difficult decision) and
with good reason. Because she wanted to teach the truth in a system full of lies.
Should be noted that does not exist absolute truth, are only different interpretations of the
facts, everybody is free of choosing what to believe, however oneself must take
responsibility for your own actions since these have consequences.
Throughout the story the human being demonstrated the ability to confront the world
around him and consequently the knowledge have used as a tool to establish a society,
however, these societies do not always turn out to be beneficial for a "majority" if not for
the benefit of a few. They can snatch everything material, but if you snatch freedom of
expression and critical thinking, they take away part of our humanity.

In the words of Suki Kim "Pyongyang" is the monster that feeds the country (North Korea).
Converting them into soldiers and slaves in the service of leader. Generalizing, maybe
North Korea is not beautiful. however, we shall not be those that validate such an
assertion.

Conclusions
Yes, it is beautiful. Would be the words that the "gentlemen" would have liked to listen, I
know hearing that would make your lives there a bit more bearable all I see there is
darkness.
The world is packed with new, every day things the world is changing, and everyone
should have the right to know the world as it is. Unfortunately, regimes come and go, but
life always makes its way towards knowledge, through curiosity.
Curiosity is and will remain the responsibility of human greatness, for good or ill. You are
what you think.
Never too late to be curious, to learn new things. Critical thinking will open new doors for
those willing to learn. In some places the risk is high.
Personally I think the curiosity worth, before any cost, since any price is right when he
speaks truth.
The truth does not set us free, but freedom will give us the truth, our truth.
