Dear Families,
Welcome to the 2016-17 school year and the inaugural opening of Hope Highlands Middle School! It
is with great excitement that we will open our doors to welcome you all on Thursday, September 1,
2016. Our summer has been extremely busy preparing for your arrival. We have been upgrading and
organizing the building to meet the needs of our new student population, participating in
comprehensive professional development sessions to enhance our school programs and initiatives, and
thoughtfully planning a variety of opportunities that will allow our students to grow and develop
academically, socially and civically.
Our incoming 6th and 7th graders are invited to our summer welcoming pizza party on Friday, August
26th from 3:00 pm 5:00 pm. Our 6th grade students from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm and our 7th grade
students from 4:00 to 5:00 pm. Our Parent Open House is scheduled for September, 12th at 6:30 pm.
We have many school programs, events, and fundraisers that our PTHH (Parents & Teachers of Hope
Highlands) will need additional support planning and organizing. A representative will be present
during this event, if you would like to join our PTHH.
The doors to the school open at 7:30 am daily. On the first day, September 1st, 6th graders will
report to the school auditorium. Our 7th graders will report to the cafeteria.
Students homerooms will be posted on Aspen in late August. If you do not have access to Aspen, an
alphabetical list of homerooms will be posted at the Welcoming party. If you have any questions or

On behalf of the entire faculty and staff at Hope Highlands, we extend our best wishes for the coming
school year and look forward to building traditions that align with the core values and beliefs
collaboratively developed throughout this inaugural year!
