BUSINESS SECTION

Policy 4.29

BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS: INSPECTIONS, MAINTENANCE,


MANAGEMENT, DANGEROUS CONDITIONS

The School Board is responsible for the maintenance of the property of the
school division. In order to fulfill this responsibility, the School Board
delegates to the Superintendent the responsibility to maintain a program of
preventive maintenance including inspections at reasonably frequent
intervals. Inspections required by law will be performed as required. The
results of inspections will be reported to the School Board.

The Superintendent will have the general responsibility for the care, custody
and safekeeping of all school property. The principal of each school will be
responsible for the operation, supervision, care and maintenance of the
school plant.

Each school shall maintain documentation of any pesticide application that


includes the target pest, the formulation applied, and the specific location(s)
of the application.

Any employee who discovers a dangerous condition shall report the


condition immediately to the building principal or designee where the
dangerous condition is located.
