of the newly developed low power consumption San Ace
80GA type fan.

2. Background of the Development

Sanyo Denki has produced and sold 80 mm sq., 20 mm
thick DC fan San Ace 80 P type product. However,
as noted in the previous section, demand increased for
cooling fans with high cooling performance and lower
power consumption.
To meet these demands, we developed the San Ace 80
GA type fan with high air flow and low power consumption.
The new model achieved the top performance in the
industry (according to a Sanyo Denki research as of
October 2012).

6. Conclusion
T h is docu ment i ntroduced some of featu res a nd
capabilities of the newly developed low power consumption
San Ace 80GA type fan.

The new model has achieved dramatically lower power

consumption, lower SPL, and higher air flow compared to
the conventional model.
We will continue to develop products that meet market
demands, and supply products that suitable cooling
requirements of equipment.
By utilizing the superior basic performance and PWM
speed control function in the new model, we believe that
we can greatly contribute to even lower power consumption
and lower SPL for equipment in the future.
