This document outlines the steps to carry out kernel Patch upgradation of 2 node cluster
c-24 & obc-cfab server.

1.3 Purpose
The purpose is to update kernel patch to 150400-35 as per Oracle recommendation.
1.4 Scope
OS Kernel Patch will be upgrade for all servers in 2-node cluster from 150400-11 to 150400-35.
1.5 Benefits / Requirement Of Activity
Oracle is releasing set of patches to solve bugs in operating system if any and will resolve
most of security vulnerabilities.
1.6 Risks Involved
No risk involved.
1.7 Mitigation
The rollback plan is to make server running which requires 1 hour of downtime which is
already included in Downtime.
Impact:
We will switchover the c-24 services to cfab server then will do kernel patching of c-24 server.
For switching the services will require 30 min downtime and patching will require total 180
min of downtime to carry out the activity including rollback plan.

After successfully patching of c-24 server we will do patching of cfab server. For patching of
cfab server also we will require 30 min downtime for switching the services and 180 min
downtime for activity.
