RICS is abbreviation of Radio Interposition Communication System. This
system is comprised of a set of setup which is responsible for ground to ground, ground to air and air to air communication. This system is very important and has a direct impact in a life of lay man as it is responsible for life saving of passengers during air flights. The communication is done between pilots from ground for guidance and navigation. The pilot communicates with ground panels to ask about weather. The ground to ground communication is done to check whether all the systems are running well or not. The already installed system was integrated with both ground to ground and ground to air communication systems. The problem was that due to thunderstorm or weather conditions, sometimes the cards get short circuited and the system collapses thus shutting down the ground to ground communication as well. Our task is to design a separate system for ground to ground communication. We are managing eleven telephone call lines which will be available to four console operators after processing. The calls will be available to all the four operators and any of the operators can pick any call at first serve basis. However, all the operators get the incoming call indication and also active call indication. This is the basic project of nature and it has a wide range of further features that can be added on. Based on a microcomputer, this system is capable of implementing any type of required algorithm which solely depends on the programming.
