Rise of the Dead Season 1 Episode 8 Finale

The Group
(Long Beach, Michigan)(Morning)(Welson Residents Cabin)
The camera showed Roy just finished getting dressed and he was in his bathroom and he was
looking at his face and he was starting to grow a beard and as he was he looked at his razor
and his shaving cream and he thought for several seconds.
A few minuets later he walked out of the cabin with a cup of coffee and a fresh shave and as he
did he saw his kids playing in the sand at his backyard beach he had and as he did he said.
Roy Welson: You 2 stay there where its safe while I go and check in with the rest of the camp.
as he said that they both said yes daddy at the same time and as they did Roy smiled at them
and he left them to play and as he did he walked through the camp and as he did he found Chad
and he said.
Roy Welson: So fill me in on whats happened so far today.
as he said that Chad had a clip board and as he did he said.Chad Barker: theres a whole
number of problems but why dont I save me from saying this for when were with the inner circle
so I dont have to say it twice.
as he said that Roy took a sip from his coffee and as he did he said.
Roy Welson: its that bad is it.
as he said that Chad said.
Chad Barker: Oh yeah.
as he said that they walked to the people that were in the inner circle the so called leaders of the
group and in that circle were Hank Masters, Kyle, Officer Marshal, Nicole Sweeden, Dr.
Lennards, Sargent Ford, Private Oliver, Lisa Benderson, Jeffery Fisher, Gary Oliver, Bobby
Lincoln and the Co Pilot whos name was Phillip were all part of the inner and Chad and Roy
walked up to them and as they did Roy said.
Roy Welson: All right everyone fill me in on whats going on.
as he said that he looked at Sargent Ford and as he did he said.

Roy Welson: Well start with you first.

as he said that Sargent Ford said.
Sargent Ford: Well I was thinking since the infected...
as he said that he was cut off by Roy and as he was Roy said.Roy Welson: We now know form
Dr. Lennards and Hanks experiences that the infected are now dead people that are risen so
theres no need to keep calling them infected so lets stick with calling them dead ok...go on.
as he said that Sargent Ford sighed and he said.Sargent Ford: as I was saying since the
number of the dead are growing around hear and they took down the government a few days
ago weve heard the broad cast I was thinking we should take a small group of people and raid
the city and take weapons. Because theres only a handful of us that actually have weapons in
this group and again a hand full of us actually know how to use them so I think its about time to
go into the city and get some guns.
as he said that Dr. Lennards said.
Dr. Lennards: Weve also lost half our people do to a sickness thats spreading though out this
camp if you decide to go to the city we need to stop by a hospital and get some more medication
were running low on that here now as well...so I second we go into the main town.
as he said that Nicole said.
Nicole Sweeden: Were also running low on food and water we need to get more canned goods
and water supplies weve already started making people ration it but its still not enough so I say
yes to going into the city for a supply run.
as he said that Roy looked around the group and as he did he looked at Jeffery and he said.
Roy Welson: If we were to be attacked like the night you came here would the dead pose a big
threat to us.
as he said that Jeffery said.
Jeffery Fisher: Yes they would...I think that we should make a city run now as well if not for
everything else then just for the guns alone to keep the ones that arent sick alive if it werent for
Jack and Bruce being there me and my family would be dead so Id say yes to going into the city
and getting supplies.
as he said that Roy thought for several seconds and as he did he looked at everyone and as he
did he said.
Roy Welson: And what about everyone else...do you all agree to this.

as he said that the people that havent spoken agreed said yes at the same time and as they did
Roy said.
Roy Welson: all right then we just need a few more people and I think I know of just the ones to
say yes and then well all go.
as he said that Roy looked at Dr. Lennards and as he did he said.
Roy Welson: Dr. Lennards make a list of everything that you need so we know what medical
supplies to get incase we split up or something happens to us in the city.
as he said that Dr. Lennards said.
Dr. Lennards: All right...Im on it.
as he said that the group split up and as he did Roy said.
Roy Welson: 10 minuets everybody then we meet up by the cars.
as he said that the camera jumped to Nicole and as it did she walked up to Scott who was with
Jake and as she did she said.
Nicole Sweeden: I have something I need to ask you.
as she said that the camera jumped to Bobby and as he did Marylin was already waiting for him
by the cars with her gun in her hand and she said.
Marylin Reed: When are we going to leave.
as she said that the camera jumped to Roy and as it did Roy was hugging his kids and Chad
was waiting for him in the background with a shot gun in his hands and as he was his kids were
saying good by to him and as they were Roy said.
Roy Welson: I love you...Be safe and Ill be back sooner then you can remember.
as he said that he stood up and they both walked over to Ted Stone and as they did Roy said.
Roy Welson: Are you sure you can handle them.
as he said that Ted said.
Ted Stone: Yes I can handle kids...I was a grandfather.
as he said that Roy said.
Roy Welson: all right Ill be back later tonight around 9:00 or 10:00pm and if everything goes
smoothly Ill have medical supplies, food, water and guns for everyone.

as he said that Ted nodded and as he did Roy said.

Roy Welson: And if Im not fear the worst and take car of my kids for me.
as he said that Ted said.
Ted Stone: Dont worry Ill treat them like they were my own.
as he said that he looked at his watch and he looked at his kids and he walked off towards Chad
and Chad handed him his double barrel shot gun and as he did Chad had a single barrel shot
gun and Chad said.Chad Barker: I didnt know you were so emotional.
as he said that Roy said.
Roy Welson: Shut up.
as he said that they both walked to where they parked there cars and they looked at the group
of people who would be going with them and the group of people were.

Roy Welson: so this is our team.

As he said that the group of people all were able to fit in 3 cars and the 3 cars they took were
Roys hummer, Bobbys jeep, and Garys BMW and Roy led the caravan and as he did they

started to make there way to Long Beach city.

(Long beach, city)(Afternoon)

The camera showed the group of cars pulling into a collage and as they did they all parked
there cars and got out of there cars and as they did Dr. Lennards said.
Dr. Lennards: all right first up on the list I need some of you to come with me in there to find the
medical supplies that I need and Id prefer it to be Gary so we can seed away at a times notice
in his BMW because I know those cars can take that kind of speed.
as he said that Roy said.
Roy Welson: All right who ever was in Garys car will help Dr. Lennard.
as he said that Nicole, Scott, and Phillip were the ones in Garys car and as they were they all
stepped forward along with Gary and as they did Roy said.
Roy Welson: good luck to you.
as he said that Gary said.
Gary Smith: thanks and good luck to you to.
as he said that everyone in Garys group had a knife and Gary had a pistol and as he did Roy
said.
Roy Welson: And everyone else back in your cars were off to the gun range to collect us some
guns.
as he said that everyone got back in there cars and as they did the jeep and the hummer took
off and as they did Gary took the lead with his pistol and as he did he said.
Gary Smith: All right everyone follow me...doc you know where it is you tell me where to go and
Ill get you there.
as he said that Dr. Lennards pulled out a hand written map and as he did he said.
Dr. Jacob Lennards: all right...all right lets get moving we want to be home by sun down.
(Long beach, Michigan)(Gun Range)(Afternoon)
the camera showed Roy and the others pulling into the parking lot and as they did they all got

out of there cars and the people that were with Roy were.

dead spotted them and as they did it started slowly making its way towards them and as it did
Kyle said.
Kyle: Look it spotted us.
as she said that Roy said.Roy Welson: take car of it with your knife remember in the head like
the news told us.
as he said that Kyle pulled out her pocket knife and as she did she walked up to the dead and as
she did it was about to grab her when she grabbed its head and she stabbed it right in the
center of the head.
As she did the dead body hit the ground and as it did Roy said.
Roy Welson: Good job.
as he said that Chad said.
Chad Barker: yeah now lets go inside before any of the other deads see us.
as he said that Hank said.
Hank Masters: good idea.
as he said that they started to make there way to the gun range and as they did Richard said.

Richard Parks: you know we out to come up with another name for the dead then just calling
them dead.
as he said that everyone laughed even him and as they did they got to the doors and they were
unlocked because the sing on the door read open and as it read open Hank was the first to open
and Roy and Chad were the first inside.
as they were everyone else waited outside and Chad and Roy checked the place out and as
they did Roy said.
Roy Welson: All right everyone its all clear no sing of the dead you all can come in and start
collecting guns.
as he said that each person had 2 duffle bags and as they did they started collecting guns and
ammo for each gun below is the number of guns they collected.

they packed all of that stuff into there bags and as they did Roy looked at his new .357 revolver

Roy Welson: all right everyone weve done a good job now finish up with what were doing here

and lets get going to the food center and get us some food and water.
as he said that everyone finished packing there guns and as they did they left the gun range
and they put all of there duffle bags into the back of there cars and as they did Chad said.
Chad Barker: do you think we got enough weapons.
as he said that Roy said.
Roy Welson: I hope so.
as he said that they got in there car and they took off to the cities food center leaving the gun
range behind them.

(Welson Residents Cabin)
the camera showed Ted watching Roys kids and as he was Officer Jefferson stepped off of the
beach front and he climbed off of Roys boat and as he did Ted said.
Ted Jones: did you catch anything.
as he said that Officer Jones said.
Officer Jefferson: boy did I.
as he said that he held up both hands and he had a dozen good sized fish in each hand and as
he did Ted said.
Ted Jones: were going to eat tonight.
as he said that Officer Jefferson said.
Officer Jefferson: yeah we are.
as he said that he walked off towards the fire and as he did he said.
Officer Jefferson: now all I have to do is gut them and cook them.
(Long Beach, Michigan)(Collage)(Inside Collage)(Night)

the camera showed that it was now night outside and as it was Nicole and Scott were rushing as
they were stuffing medical supplies into there back packs and as they were Nicole said.
Nicole Sweeden: make sure you dont miss anything.
as she said that Scott said.
Scott Grey: just worry about yourself and make sure you dont miss anything.
as he said that the camera jumped to Phillip and as it did his back packs were full and as they
were he walked in the room that Dr. Lennards and Gary were in and they were filling back
packs up and as he did he said.
Co Pilot Phillip: my bags are full what do you want me to do now.
as he said that Gary said.
Gary Smith: do you remember your way back to the car.
as he said that Phillip said.
Co Pilot Phillip: Yeah I do why.
as he said that Gary said.
Gary Smith: I left my car unlocked go and put your stuff in the car and wait for us.
as he said that Phillip said.
Co Pilot Phillip: all right good luck to you guys.
as he said that Phillip rushed out of the room and as he did he ran to the car and as he did the
camera stayed with Gary and Dr. Lennards and it showed that they to were also finishing up
with packing there stuff up and as they were Dr. Lennards said.
Dr. Jacob Lennards: just a few more things in here and we should be go to go.
as he said that they finished up with there packing and as they did Gary said.
Gary Smith: you know with the dead rising and all and this being a collage youd think this place
would be crawling with the dead.
as he said that Dr. Lennards said.
Dr. Jacob Lennards: yeah I know lets just be lucky on that part.
as he said that Gary said.
Gary Smith: Lets go and get Scott and Nicole and get the hell out of here and meet Roy at the
food center.

as he said that Dr. Lennards said.

Dr. Jacob Lennards: Im down with that.
as he said that they were about to run into Scott and Nicole and as they did Nicole screamed
and as she did Dr. Lennards said.
Dr. Jacob Lennards: do you guys have everything that was on the list.
as he said that Scott said.Scott Grey: yes we both filled are bags up and were ready to go to the
food center no need to go in the other room.
as he said that they started to leave the collage and as they did Gary was in the drivers seat and
as he was he said.
Gary Smith: I still dont know what on earth it is what scared you 2 back there but one day youll
tell me.
as he said that Nicole and Scott were in the back seat of the BMW with Phillip and as they were
they nervously laughed and as they did the camera jumped back to the hospital and as it did it
showed a group of about several hundred dead people risen walking out of the collage and
following the BMW as it drove towards the food center.
(Long Beach, Michigan)(Night)(Food Center)
the camera jumped to the food center and as it did Roy and his group were coming out of it with
full bags of food and water and as they carried them to there cars Roy looked up and he saw
head lights approaching them in the distance and as he did he said.
Roy Welson: everybody get down...get down.
as he said that Roy pulled out his revolver and Chad had his shot gun ready to fire and as they
did the car that pulled up to the food center was Gary and he rolled down his window and as he
did Roy walked up to it and Gary said.Gary Smith: Weve got all the medical supplies do you
have all of the food and water and gun supplies.
as he said that Roy said.
Roy Welson: yes weve took everything out of the gun range and we just emptied and were
about to come and get you so we could head back to the cabin...I know where a little late but I
know theyll understand.
as he said that everyone was back in there cars except for Roy and Chad and as they were

Gary said.
Gary Smith: all right Ill wait for you to lead the way back home.
as he said that Roy got to his car and as he did Chad was sitting next to Roy and as he was Roy
looked at his clock in the car and it read 10:30pm and as it did Chad said.
Chad Barker: its only 10:30pm were only a half hour past our due time Im sure there not
thinking the worst of us yet lets get going before something bad does happen.
as he said that Roy started up his hummer and as he did he said.
Roy Welson: right.
as he said that he lead the caravan out of the food center and he started to lead the caravan
back to his cabin which was now there home.

(Long Beach, Michigan)(Welson Residents Cabin)(Night)

the camera showed everyone around the camp fire and they were all eating Officer Jeffersons
fish and as they were Officer Jefferson said.
Officer Jefferson: I sure do know how to make some dam good fish.
as he said that Ted, Jake, and Roys daughters were sitting next to him along with the 30 other
survivors that were not sick from the virus that was spreading through out the camp and as they
were one of the survivors got up from there seat and they pulled out a pack of cigarets and as
he did Officer Jefferson said.
Officer Jefferson: where in the hell are you going.
as he said that the civilian said.
Civilian: Im just going to have a smoke in peace.
as he said that Officer Jefferson said.
Officer Jefferson: thats fine as long as you just do that.
as he said that the camera stayed with the civilian who walked off and as it did he walked to a
dark part of the forrest and as he did he looked up at the stars as he put the cigarette in his
mouth and as he did he said.
Civilian: beautiful night for a smoke.

as he said that he light the cigarette and as he did heard a twig snap and as he did it was off in
the dark of the forrest and he looked in that direction and it was quiet and he shrugged it off and
then a few seconds later another twig snapped and as it did the civilian said.
Civilian: What the hell.
as he said that all of a sodden a dead one came out of know where and it looked him dead in
the eyes and he said.
Civilian: son of a bitch.
as he said that the dead one bit him right on the neck and it held onto him as he fell to the
ground screaming and as he did the group heard him and as they did Officer Jefferson stood up
and as he did he saw a group of over 30 dead ones come out of the forrest and he said.
Officer Jefferson: Shit.
as he said that he started shooting them and as he did Ted, Jake, and Roys daughters stayed
behind Officer Jones as the civilians ran in the forrest and as they did several of them got
attacked and ate. And as they did Suzi Parks walked out of the cabin and as she did she said.
Suzi Parks: what the hell is happening.
as she said that Officer Jefferson was shooting the dead ones as they were coming near him
and as he was he said.
Officer Jefferson: everyone get to the dam cars.
as he said that Suzi joined Officer Jefferson, Ted, Jake, and Roys daughter and as she did the
camera jumped to Roy and he was pulling up his long drive way and he was seeing the dead
enter it and as he was he said.
Roy Welson: Oh my god.
as he said that Chad said.
Chad Barker: there every where.
as he said that they got to where the drive way turned to Roys cabin and as he did everyone got
out of the car and they all got a weapon from there new weapons and they all got out of there
cars and began taking out the heard of dead ones.
As they did Roy saw Officer Jones being cornered by the dead ones and he saw that he had his
daughters with him and as he did he said.

Roy Welson: EMILY...ROSE.

as he screamed there names the dead ones looked at him and half of them started to come
towards them and as they did Roy killed them with his .357 and as he did Jeffery saw that Suzi
was with Officer Jefferson as well and as he did he helped Roy kill that group of dead ones with
his Mossberg 590 shot gun.
as he did the camera showed that the group killed off all of the dead ones and as they did
everyone was freaked out and Dr. Lennards was hiding in Garys BMW and Gary was having a
panic attack and Roys kids ran to him and they both hugged him at the same time and as they
did Roy said.
Roy Welson: Emily...Rose.
as he said that Jake saw Nicole and Scott and he ran and he hugged them and as he did they
looked at each other and they were happy to just be alive and as they were Chad was behind
Roy and he had an AUG Steyer and as he did Chad said.
Chad Barker: So about that trip to Alaska.
as he said that the camera zoomed out on the group and cabin and showed a ton of dead
bodies form people from there camp and from the dead ones that attacked there camp.
(Screen goes black)(End Scene)
