Achilles

-In Greek mythology, Achilles was a Greek hero of the Trojan War and the central
character and a greatest warrior of Homers Iliad. His mother was the nymph
Thetis, and his father, Peleus was the king of the Myrmidoms.
Aeneas
-Aeneas was a Trojan hero, the son of the prince Anchises and the goddess
Venus. His father was a first cousin of King Priam of Troy, making Aeneas a second
cousin to Priams children.

-was the son of King Atreus and Queen Aerope of Mycenae, the brother of
Menelaus, the husband of Clytemnestria and the father of Iphigenia . King of

Agenor
-son of Antenor and Theano, was a Trojan hero. When Achilles was routing the
entire Trojan Army, Agenor was the first Trojan to collect his wits and stop fleeing
from Achilless rampage.
Ajax
-Is a mythological Greek hero, the son of King Telamon and Periboea, and the halfbrother of Teucer.
Ajax the Lesser
-was a Greek mythological hero son of oileus,the king of Locris. He was called the
lesser Ajax, to distinguish him from Ajax the Great ,son of telamon.He was the
leader of Locrian contingent during the Trojan War.
Amazons
-In Greek mythology,the amazons were a race of woman warriors. Herodotus
reported that they were related to the Scythians and place them in a region
bordering. Scythia in Samartia. Other historiographers place them in Anatolia, or
sometimes Libya.
Andromache
-In Greek mythology . Andromache was the wife of Hector,daughter Eection,and
sister to Podes. She was born and raised in the city of cilician Thebe, over which her
father ruled.
Antenor
-Was a counselor to king Priam of Troy in the Legendary Greek accounts of the
Trojan war.
Antinous
-In Greek mythology, Antinous, son of Eupeithes, is most known for his role in
Homers Odyssey. One of the suitors for Penelopes hand in marriage.
Aphrodite

-Was the goddess of love, beauty ang fertility. She was also a protector of sailors.
The poet Hesiod said that Aphrodite was born from sea-foam. Homer, on the other
hand, said that she was the daughter of Zeus and Dione.
Apollo
-Has been variously recognized as agod of music, truth and prophecy, healing,the
sun and light, plague, poetry, and more Apollo is the son of Zeus and Leto, and has
a twin sister, the chaste huntress Artemis.
Ares
-Ares is the God of War , son of Zeus and hera , and one of the most prominent
and powerful Gods of Olympus. He was born after the Great War of the Gods OF
Olympus. He was born after the Great War of the Titans and served his father
faithfully.
Astynax
-In Greek mythology, Astyanax was the son of Hector, the crown prince of Troy
and husband of prince Andromache of Cilician Thebe.
Breseis
-Was a mythical queen in Asia Minor at the time of the Trojan War. Her character
lies at the heart of a dispute between Achilles and Agamemnon that drives the plot
of Homers Iliad .
Calypso
-Calypso was a nymph in Greek Mythology,who lived on the island of Ogygia,
where she detained Odysseus for several years. She is generally said to be the
daughter of Atlas the Titan.
Cassandra
-Also known as Alexandra or Kassandra, was the daughter of King Priam and
Queen Hecuba of Troy
Charybdis
-Charybdis was a sea monster,later rationalized as a whirlpool and considered a
shipping hazard in the Strait of Messina.

-known for his participation in the Trojan War. He was born to Tydeus and Deipyle
and later became King of Argos, succeeding his maternal grandfather, Adrastus.
Dolon
-fought for Troy during the Trojan War.
Eris
-Goddess of Strife and discord. Her name is the equivalent of Latin Discordia, which
means discord. Eris Greek opposite is Harmonia, whose Latin counterpart is
Concordia Homer equated her with the war- goddesess Enyo.
Euphorbus
-The son of Panthous and Phrontis, was a Trohan hero during the Trojan War. He
wounded Patroclus before Patroclus was killed by Menelaus .

-appears in Homers Odyssey as second-in-command of Odysseus ship during the
return to Itahaca after the Trojan War. He was also a relative of Odysseus through
marriage.
Glaucus
-was a Greek prophetic sea god, born mortal and immortal upon eating a magical
herb. It was believed that commonly came to the rescue of sailors and fishermen in
storms, having once been one himself.
Hades
-The God of the underworld, was a son of the Titans Cronos Rhea. He hgad 3 sisters,
Demeter, Hestia, and Hera, as well as 2 brothers, Zeus the youngest of the 3, and
Poseidon.
Hector
-was a Trojan Prince and greatest fighter for Troy in the Trojan War. As the first-born
son of King Priam and Queen Hecuba, who was a descendant of Dardanus and Tros.
Hecuba
-the wife of King Priam of Troy during the Trojan War, with whom she had 19
children.
Helen
-also known as Helen of Sparta, was the daughter of Zeus and Leda, and was a
sister of Castor, Pollux , and Clyemnestra. In greek myths, she was considered the
most beautiful woman in the world.
Hephaestus

-was the lame god of fire and crafts or the two together, Hence of blacksmiths.
Hephaestus was the son of Zeus and Hera or, in some accounts, of Hera alone. He

-was a giant water snake with many heads that live in as swamp near Lerna in the

-is an obscure character associated with the Trojan War. He was a comrade of King
Priam of Troy. Hyrtacus married Arisbe, daughter of King Merops of Percote, after
Priam had divorced her to marry Hecabe.

-was a Cretan commander , father of Orsilochus, Cleisithyra, Leucus and Iphiclus,
son of Deucalion and Cleopatra , grandson of Minos and King of Crete.

-were a race of people living on an island dominated by lotus plants.
Medusa
-was a monster, a Gorgon, generally described as a winged woman female with a
hideous face and living venomous snakes in place of hair. Gazers on her face would
turn to stone.
Meleager

Homer.
Menelaus
-was a king of Mycenean Sparta the husband of Helen of Troy, and a Central figure
in the Trojan War.

-was a creature with the head of a bull and the body of a man or, as describe by
Roman poet Ovid, a being part man and part bull.
Nausica

-is a character in Homers Odyssey . She is the daughter of King Alcinous and Queen
Arete of Phaeacia. Her name in Greek, means burner of ships.
Nestor
-of Gerenia was the son of Neleus and Chrois and the King of Pylos. He became king
after Heracles killed Neleus and all of Nestors siblings.
Odysseus
-was a legendary Greek King of Ithaca and the hero of Homers epic poem the
Odyssey. Odysseus also plays a key role in Homers Iliad and other works in that
same epic cycle.

-is one of the best known creatures in Greek mythology. He is a winged divine

-is the intelligent and faithful wife of Odysseus, who keeps her suitors at bay in his
long absence and is eventually reunited with him.

-son of Amyntor and Cleobule, is one of theMyrmidoms led by Achilles in the Trojan
War. Phoenixs warfaring identity is a a charioteer.
Polydamas
-was a lieutenant and friend of Hector during the Trojan War. They were born on
the same night.
Polydorus
-is the youngest son of Priam and Hecuba in the mythology of the Trojan War.
Polydorus is an an example of the fluid nature of myth, as his role and story vary
significantly in different traditions and sources.
Polyphemus
-is the giant son of Poseidon and Thoosa in Greek mythology, one of the cyclopes
describe in the odyssey his name means abounding in songs and legends.
Poseidon

-was the god of the sea, earthquakes and horses. Although he was officially one of
the supreme gods of Mt.Olympus, he spent most of his time in his watery domain.

-were ugly yet dangerous creatures, who lured nearby sailors with their enchanting
music and voices to shipwreck on the rocky coast of their island.
Sphinx
-Is a mythical creature with, at a minimum, the head of a woman and the body of a
lion, and sometimes the wings of a bird. It is treacherous and merciless.
Telemachus
-is a figure in Greek mythology, the son of Odysseus and Penelope, and the central
character in Homers Odyssey.
Tiresias
-was a blind prophet of Apollo in Thebes, famous for clairvoyance and for being
transformed in two women for seven years. He was the son of the shepherd Everses
and the nymph Charido.
Zeus
-was the god of the sky and ruler of the Olympian God. He overthrew his father,
Cronos, and then drew lots with his brothers Poseidon and Hades, in order to decide
who would succeed their father on the thrown. Zeus won the draw and become the
supreme ruler of the gods, as well as lord of the sky and rain.
