Engineering Quality Analyst
Primary Responsibilities
Process
Provide process facilitation throughout projects life cycle, applying Visteons software
development process and Agile/SCRUM methods
Provide training on engineering processes and Agile methods
Assist project teams in tailoring Visteon engineering processes to adaptable needs
Create awareness among practitioners on process changes / improvements
Ensure smooth transitions of process changes into projects phases / milestones
Highlight / escalate risks concerning product quality
Enable the achievement of automotive SPICE and CMMI compliance as required by our
customers

Metrics
Assess project status regarding planning, feature implementation and defect trend
Gather and report key process metrics to assess the health of active product launch projects
Perform deep-dive analysis on metrics data and provide project teams with visibility into data
inferences
Determine area of concern using data driven approach and recommend methods to improve
Audits

Perform audit according to audit plan and process report audit results to projects stakeholders
Track non-compliances to closure by assisting with corrective actions
Liaison with customer engineering quality to align expectations
Provide facilitation during OEM process reviews / corporate quality audits
Analyze project level non-compliances and root causes and drive prevent recurrence actions
Perform release verification during production software release activities

Continuous Improvement
Share challenges, lessons learned, and best practices with global counterparts
Collect feedback from practitioners and work with continuous improvement team to drive process
improvements
Look for improvement opportunities, determine and optimize process / practices through change
proposal and solution
Identify and execute improvement projects such as Kaizen/Six Sigma
Requirements
Years of Experience: 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in Software Quality Assurance
Degree Strongly Preferred: Bachelors in Electronics, Electronics and Telecommunications, Computer
Science`
Desired Competencies/Experience
Essential Skills:
Thorough application knowledge on software development lifecycle processes and Quality
assurance practices
Good application knowledge of CMMI, automotive SPICE, Agile/Scrum methods
Hand on experience on audit lifecycle processes and application of measurement and analysis
Hands on experience with quality tools and techniques
Good knowledge with problem solving methods and causal analysis
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to instruct, coach, and inspire others
Ability to learn quickly and teach and apply learning in projects
Scrum Master certification from Scrum Alliance or Scrum.Org
