ABSTRACT
In the twenty first century, Business is becoming more complex, interdependent and
dynamic. Today in global economic landscape, business needs have evolved to rely heavily on
international operational and logistical capabilities. With competition within global market at all
time high, organisations are increasingly finding that the complexities of doing business globally,
waste valuable resources and expose them to multiple areas of risk. In addition to the vast
opportunities while operating in global community businesses not only associated with relatively
high risk but companies also have to face complexities in projected return on investment in the
global market. So, to take advantage of the opportunities, international business affords
businesses need to understand these complexities in order to maximize efficiency and maintain
their competitive edge.
Global operations of organisation are also associated with social responsibility, ethical behavior
and interdependence which directly affect their sustainability and profitability. The ethical
challenges that globalization present is political and economic freedom that is essential for
development of any society but human resource development is critical in developing these
capabilities as in present scenario the major global challenges are revolving around long term
sustainable economic growth.
