CostingbasedProfitabilityAnalysisistheformofprofitabilityanalysisthatgroupscostsand

defineyourself.Itguaranteesyouaccessatalltimestoacomplete,shorttermprofitabilityreport.

2).Butitisnotadvisabletoactivatebothasyouwillexperiencetechnicalproblemsassystemwill
occupylogofspace.
3).IfyoucostingbasedcopaitwillbedifficulttoreconcileFIwithCOPAaslotoftimeitwilltaketo
reconcile.ForthisyouneedtodoassessmentsettlementsanddiectpostingsfromFIMMSDto
COPAthruPAtransferstructure.
4).YoucanfindtheDifferancesofFICOPAinKEATtcodeandbasedontheyoucanunderstandwhy
itisshowingdifference(Ifany).ThisTcodewillhelpyoutoreconcile.
5).IfyougoforAccountingBasedCOPA,itiseasytoreconcileandherethereconcilationhappens
betweenGLAccountandCostelementlevel.Soyouwontgetmanyissueswhilereconciling.

Youalreadyhavevaluefields,sonowyouhavecostingbasedcopainplace..mostlyyouwouldhave
preparedanexcel,whichlistsdown,whichgl(s)willposttowhichvaluefields.

insuchacase,youcanalwayscreateazreport,whichgetsthebalanceagainstthevaluefieldfrom
copaandfromtheglaccountclosingbalancesfromGLT0orFAGLFLEXT.

Itisalwaysbettertouse,costingbasedcopafundamentallybecauseitgivesyoueasilythe
contributionmarginonthesales.furtheryouhavetheoptionofhavingbreakevencostingbasedon
cm.

ifyouactivateaccountbasedcopa,youwillgetglbalancesincopawithoutmuchfeaturesavailable
incostingcopa.furtheritwillleadtosystemconstraintsandproblems.itwillalsocreateissueforyour
enduserstomaintainandreconcilletwocopaenviornments
