Retention is defined as a voluntary move by an organization to create an

environment which engages employees for long term (Chaminade,


2007). The main purpose of retention strategies is to prevent the loss of
competent employees from the organization.

People leave the organization due to various reasons. The experience of


job related stress (job stress), the range factors that lead to job related
stress (stressors), lack of commitment in the organization; and job
dissatisfaction make employees to quit
Authentic Problem: High attrition rates of 16%-20% are observed in big
IT giants like Infosys and TCS.
WHY: Employee dissatisfaction due to lack of learning opportunities,
people are leaving for higher education and higher degree of internal
politics in the IT sector.
New Methodology:
Informers, unstructured interviews and getting valuable information
from the employees
Employee first Simulation game: we can ask our talent to design
their dream organisation.
