Informatics Society (PMIS)

(MIU) under the UP College of Medicine
– Establishment of the UP Manila – National
Telehealth Center (UPM - NThC)

• Founded and incorporated in 1996
• Mission: to promote the use of information
technology in medicine
• Official representative of the Philippines in
the APAMI and International Medical
Informatics Association
• Advocates the use of Open Source in
development of health applications

– Lectures by international medical informatics

– Seminars on use of online bibliographic
databases, handheld devices, electronic health
