About SODEXO Meal Card at Sahyadri Park

Q: What is Sodexo Meal card?


Ans: Meal Card is a prepaid instrument authorised by the Reserve Bank of India. This unique smart card is

embedded with chip and loaded with rupee value and issued by TCS to purchase ready to eat food and non alcoholic beverages from your in-house canteen/ food courts. The card memory stores information like your card
number, transactions, etc
Q: How do I apply for it?
Ans: STEP 1: Update food-coupon delivery location to Pune-Sahyadri Park through:

Any request post 20th of any month will be processed in next to next month (i.e card will be available in
next to next month)
Q. What is the eligibility for meal card?
Ans: 1. Food-coupon amount in BoB cant be zero and

2. If food-coupon amount has been updated from zero to Rs. X post 5th of the month you have applied for
meal card, you will not be eligible for meal card and
3. You should be on India Payroll and
4. Branch to Collect Food Coupon needs to be to Pune-Sahyadri Park SEZ
Q. What do I need to do if Im not eligible for Meal card?
Ans. Step 1: Food coupon amount needs to be changed from zero to Rs. X. before 5th of the month you are

applying for Meal Card.


Step 2: Update your Branch to Collect Food Coupon to Pune-Sahyadri Park SEZ through below link.

Q. How will I know that my name has been added to meal card list?
Ans: Mail regarding addition of name to meal card will be shared through Sodexo Mealcard mail ID on your

TCS mail ID within 5 days. If you have not received the confirmation mail, kindly drop a mail again.

Q. How can I load my card?


Ans: Card needs to be swiped in POS (Point of sale) machine kept at billing counter in Cafeteria.

Q. Can I load my card on any date of the month?


Ans. Cut-off date to load your card for any month is 20th of the month. No loading will be possible post 20 of

the month. Though transaction can be done with the amount already loaded in the card.
Q: What happens if I dont load the meal card for any month(s)?
Ans: The card needs to be loaded every month. The card cannot be loaded for previous month(s) if you missed

loading the card. The meal card gets deactivated if not used for 90 or more days. For re-activation of the card,
drop a mail to Rahul.Chavare@sodexo.com.
Q: What will happen to the amount not loaded for any particular month?
Ans: Amount not loaded in meal card for any particular month will be credited in your next months salary

under Miscellaneous. This amount will be taxable.


Q. What needs to be done if I face any problem in loading the card?
Ans: For loading the card in an online mode please ask the vendor/affiliate to follow below steps-

1) Connect the POS terminal to the phoneline.


2) On insertion of your card into the POS, select option no.3 i.e. "Online Load"
3) Please remove the card once credit loading is successfully done.
Q. Do I get a receipt for each transaction?
Ans: Yes, a receipt can be obtained for each transaction from the POS (Point of sale) kept at billing counter.

Q. Can I view my previous transaction/s?


Ans: Yes, you can check current balance available on your Meal Card along with the last ten transactions done

on your card in the POS.

Q. How and where can I use my Meal Card?


Ans:

Meal Card can be used in TCS-SP canteen. The card needs to be swiped in Point of Sale (POS)
machine installed at the canteen/ food courts for making a purchase and recording the transactions. 1st transaction
of the month will load the card.

Q. When I collect my card, what amount will be loaded in it?


Ans: Only the amount for the previous month (as mentioned in previous months salary slip) will be loaded in

the card. Amount not loaded in any particular month will be credited in next months salary under
Miscellaneous.
Q: Can I use this card after exhausting my declared monthly spend-limit?
Ans: The card can be used only till the declared monthly spend-limit. Once the monthly spend-limit is

exhausted, you can make any transaction in next month only, when the card gets loaded.
Q. What happens to the balance amount that I am unable to utilize?
Ans: If the amount loaded/balance on the meal card is not utilized by you, the same is carry forwarded to the

next month or converted into physical food coupons during conversion schedule.
Q: How can I convert the amount on the meal card to paper meal vouchers?
Ans: Amount left unutilized in the card can be converted into food-coupons during the conversion schedule.

The process of conversion is undertaken by Sodexo once a month (in 2nd week of every month) and the dates for
conversion will be communicated to you.
Q: How much can I convert from the meal card to paper meal vouchers?
Ans: The conversion can be done in multiples of 250 only.

Q: What happens if I go onsite or don't load the card for more than 3 months?
Ans: If card is not used for 90 or more days, a special security feature deactivates your card & prevents the card

from making any transaction to protect the card from misuse. And the same card can be used after getting it
reactivated by applying through below link:

Q: What needs to be done if card is lost/damaged?


Ans: You need to report this to the Helpdesk officer by sending an email to cardhelpdesk.in@sodexo.com

along with your employee ID. The card would be blocked within 48 hrs and a new card with the balance at the
time of reissuance will be sent to you.
In case of loss of card, kindly check with Abhik Banerjee(Admin Team, S1 Building, Ground Floor) or
respective reception before dropping mail to Helpdesk team.
Sodexo shall not be liable for any misuse of the card till it is hotlisted.

Q. How long does it take to block the usage of card?


Ans: The card once reported lost to Sodexo by you will get blocked within 2 working days. Sodexo shall not be

liable for any misuse of the card till it is hotlisted.

Q: How do I get the card re-issued?


Ans: At the time of reporting the lost/stolen of your meal card to cardhelpdesk.in@sodexo.com, you need to

put up a request for re-issuance of your lost/stolen card. The card is re-issued in 4-5 working days.

Q: Are there any charges for re-issuance of card?


Ans: A card re-issuance fees of Rs 125 + taxes is charged to you. The same would be debited from next months

salary.

Q. What if I want to discontinue meal card service or I'm moving out of Sahyadri Park or
leaving the organization?

Q. How will I know my name has been deleted from meal card list?
Ans: A confirmation mail regarding deletion of your name will be sent through meal card email ID. Kindly drop

another mail if you have not received the confirmation.


Amount already loaded in Meal Card will not be credited back to your salary or be part of FFS. It needs
to be converted into physical food coupons during conversion schedule.
Q. Do I need to submit my card once Ive discontinued meal card service?
Ans. You are not required to submit the card to anyone. Card can be used till it is active and there is any amount

in the card.
Same card can be used if you want to use meal card service in future.

Q. Can I authorize any of my colleagues to collect/ convert (into physical food-coupons) my


card?
Ans: Yes, in case of your absence, card can be collected or conversion can be done by the authorized person.

Authorisation mail needs to be dropped to rahul.chavare@sodexo.com.


Also, authorized person should possess your card during conversion.
Q. Whom should I contact for any query related to Sodexo Meal Card?
Ans: Kindly refer to FAQs first and contact your project HRO in case of any further clarification.
