DependingontheanalysistypetobeperformedinXeus,usercanlimittheGPEHEventtypetobe
collectedinGPEHinordertoreduceRNCprocessorloadforrecording.RNChasaparameter
gpehDataLevelthatdeterminesthelevelofinformationtorecordfortheexternalprotocolsuchasRRC
andRANAP.
Thedefaultsettingoftheparameteris0='HEADER_DATA_ONLY',whichrecordsonlytheexternal
protocolmessagenameanddirectionofthemessage.InordertorecordtheencodedASN.1dataofthe
externalmessage,theOSSadministratorcansettheparameterto1=ALLDATA.Thiswillallowdetail
analysisoftheexternalprotocolmessage.However,thisisonlyrecommendedforsmallrecordingsetof

GEOANALYSISOVERVIEWANDPREREQUISITES
GeoAnalysis is a new feature on Xeus which enables you to estimate a location using nonGPS based
NetworkMeasurementRecordings.XeususesGeoAnalysistoperformGeolocateusingacombination
of OTDDA multi lateration and relative signal strength. Analysis on GeoAnalysis is done through plots
and reporting. Using GeoAnalysis, geolocated events and measurements can be plotted and areas
wheresignificantpilotoverlapsidentified.

Before performing GeoAnalysis, ensure that you have the supported network data that meets the
followingprerequisites:
1. ThenetworkdataimportedmustbeeitherEricssonBulkCMorEricssonKgetlogfile.Theimported
NetworkdatamustcontaintheRNCandCellthatmatcheswiththedatarecordedinGPEH.
Note: For best analysis or Geolocate through GeoAnalysis, it is recommended for you to
importthenetworkdatathattakesatleastanhourtoparse.
2. The loaded network file must contain RRC Measurement Report and NBAP Radio Link Setup
Requestmessages.
3. Ensure that Perform position estimation for Abnormal Released Calls/All Calls is enabled at
ImportEricssonGPEH/UETR/CTRlogwizard.
IMPORTGPEH/UETR/CTRLOGFILES
YouneedtoensurethefollowingbeforeyouimportGPEH/UETR/CTRdata:
1. logfileformat
2. logfileset(s)containmandatorymessages
3. Networkdata(preferablyEricssonBulkCM).
3.1. NetworkDataacceptedforGeoAnalysis(EricssonBulkCMorEricssonKgetlogfileonly)
GPEH/UETR/CTRdataisbestanalyzedwhenyouhaveEricssonBulkCM.Itwillprovidecompleteanalysis
forneighboroptimization.IfyouareperformingGeoAnalysis,ensurethatthenetworkdataselectedis
EricssonBulkCMorEricssonKgetlogfile.YoucanrefertoXeusProQuickGuideforfurtherinformation
onimportingnetworkdata.
