Day 1

If you truly believe in Jesus there will

spring up from the depths of your heart a
never-ending stream of living joy.

Day 2
"The best way to ensure that you will
receive future gifts, blessings, and graces
of God is to be grateful and thankful for
those He has already given you."

Day 3

Fear is a symbol of all negative

emotions; depression, desolation,
sadness, anxiety. The secret to overcome
this is love.

Day 3
Fear is a symbol of all negative
emotions; depression, desolation,
sadness, anxiety. The secret to overcome
this is love.

Day 5

Prudence is better than valor.

Day 6
"By prayer, we leave this earth. We leave
this material, visible world. We enter the
world of God. We discover the beauty of
Gods world. We experience a new joy,
new delight, and new pleasure. We
become spiritual beings. That is why
Jesus wants us to pray for ourselves."

Day 7

In season and out of season, preach the

Word of God.

Day 8
...the poor not only must be fed and
clothed but also be given the education
and skills to enable them to participate
fully in the society.

Day 9

Every foreign land is a home, every

home is a foreign land.

Day 10
I wish to offer souls to the Lord as
numerous as the wild sunflowers in the
field.

Day 11

Let us become men of prayer who are

action-oriented and dynamic to change
our lives and others in witness to Jesus
Christ.

Day 12

"The best way to ensure that you will

receive future gifts, blessings, and graces
of God is to be grateful and thankful for
those He has already given you."

Day 13
Everyone agrees that the best way to
help hungry people is to give them jobs
so that they may help themselves.

Day 14

Being unwanted, unloved, forgotten by

everyone I think that is a much a greater
hunger, a much greater poverty than the
person who has nothing to eat.

Day 15
Christs presence in the poor; that is the
reality to which many Christian eyes are
dimmed. Yet all our talk of reform and
renewal will come to naught unless the
Church and we are the Church- faces
the challenge of poverty.

Day 16

Christ lives on in the world today and

exerts his influence in three ways: 1.) The
Eucharist 2.) The inspired word of the
Scripture 3.) The person of the poorThe
living Christ is as close to us as the
nearest poor person.

Day 17
"Pain is pain and suffering is suffering no
matter how deep the faith, how bright
the hope and how pure the love. At the
same time, in the depths of the pain
there is this oneness of spirits, and in
the heart of the suffering there is this
union of souls. And from this oneness
and this union there rises a very pure,
spiritual peace- this peace of God which
surpasses all human understanding.

Day 18

I ran the course, I endured it, I lasted

until the end.

Day 19
My children, my ambition is not to build
buildings but to make saints out of you.

Day 20
The most powerful weapons to
overcome fear, trials, obstacles, and
temptations are prayer and sacrifice.

Day 21

If you truly believe in Jesus there will

spring up from the depths of your heart a
never-ending stream of living joy.

Day 22
"The best way to ensure that you will
receive future gifts, blessings, and graces
of God is to be grateful and thankful for
those He has already given you."

Day 23

...As we drove away, I glanced back at

the hundreds of young boys and the
beautiful grounds and buildings, and a
line from a now-forgotten play came to
mind, in which one of the characters
reflecting on how every now and then,
good people and noble ideas can create
miraclessays Sometimes theres
God.

Day 24
My children you are created not to be
fat little ducks waddling in the mud but
eagles destined to rise above and
explore the kingdom of God.

Day 25

If you truly believe in Jesus there will

spring up from the depths of your heart a
never-ending stream of living joy.

Day 26
"Covetousness is a vague word, but it means

simply greed or desire for material

possessions, goods and money. It is written
in the Psalms, "Be still and you shall know
your God." Desire, greed, and covetousness
keep our hearts from being still. They agitate
our hearts. They create this inner noise and
we do not hear God, nor find Him, nor be one
with Him. So, we must make our hearts still,
silent and quiet by ridding them of all desire,

greed and covetousness. If we do this, then

we will hear the voice of God. "

Day 27
God rejoices me by what He does and
more than grain and wine, God rejoices
my heart.

Day 28
...the poor not only must be fed and
clothed but also be given the education
and skills to enable them to participate
fully in the society.

Day 29

"The best way to ensure that you will

receive future gifts, blessings, and graces
of God is to be grateful and thankful for
those He has already given you."

Day 30
Since the very beginning, the Virgin was
working with me. Now she does not need
me, she wants to work with you directly.

Day 31

Lord, if that is what you want, here I am.

I offer myself as a victim to Yourself.

Day 32
I consider each and every child a
precious gift entrusted to my hands by a
loving and caring God.

Day 33

Without the Eucharistic Lord, this work

would collapsed. This is the center of our
lives, of our spiritual lives.

Day 34
I consider the sufferings of the present
moment as nothing when compared to
the glory which is to come.

Day 35

If we died with Christ, we shall rise with

Him and in the measure that we suffer
with Him, we will rejoice with Him.

Day 36
All praise, honor, glory and thanksgiving
to the Virgin of the Poor.

Day 37

Above all else, have charity.

Day 38

"The only thing we have to fear is sin

which kills the soul and makes us subject
to eternal death.

up. He never stops. He never lets up.

He tries every moment a hundred
percent.

Day 39

Day 46

If we suffer this physical death in the

state of sin, we shall receive this eternal
damnation-hell.

Day 40
Hell is like being buried in a coffin
forever. All is dark. You are just absorbed
and lost in this death forever. This the
death of soul- eternal death. And this is
what we must fear in this life."

Day 41
This joy of Christ, this peace of God is
quite different than that of the world. The
peace and joy of the world comes from
health, and wealth and worldly success.
The peace of God, the joy of Christ
comes from faith. It is something spiritual
and supernatural. If you have faith in
your heart, there will always be joy in
your life.

Day 42

To whom much is given, much will be

required...If you give your effort and do your
best and give a hundred percent every day
and all day, even though you do not succeed
as you would like, there is sense of
satisfaction in your heart. There is a sense of
joy and fulfillment. You can look at yourself in
the mirror at night or in the morning and you
can say, "I am doing my best, my very best. I
can do no more." There is a great sense of
joy in doing that.

Day 43
We must look at everything in life with
glass of faith. We must look at everything
in the light of eternity.

Day 44
Confession is the sacrament of light; so
you go to confession as a child of light.

Day 45

a saint tries a hundred percent every

moment of every day. He never gives

The peace of God, the joy of Christ

comes from faith. It is something
spiritual and supernatural.

Day 47
If you have faith in your heart, there will
always be joy in your life. There will
always be this spiritual light in your eyes,
this spiritual laughter on your faces and
this spiritual smile on your lips.

Day 48

The glory of God is manfully alive.

Day 49
The first and the greatest of the capital
sin is pride. This is the greatest sin, the
greatest obstacle to union with God and
the greatest stumbling block on the road
to holiness and perfection.

Day 50
Holiness is the work of God but it is our
work together.

Day 51
God is all. I am nothing. God is
responsible for all the good in my life, for
all virtue, for anything that is noble, lofty,
pure, and loving. These come from God.
I am responsible only for the evil, the
imperfections and defects of my life.

Day 52

"We pray not to know much, or think

much, or speak much, but basically to
LOVE MUCH."

Day 53
"Every decision must not flow from my
wounded ego but from that region of
pure light within me where the Spirit of
God dwells..."

Day 54

Freedom from material possessions, and

renunciation of wealth gives one a

certain divine power, force, and energy

for good.

Smile is a sign of the presence of Jesus

in your heart.

If you wish to see God, your heart must

be pure.

Christ is everywhere, but each of His

presences in this world is in a different in
quality.

Day 55
Day 56

No matter what the difficulty, what the

weather and what the obstacle is, we must
make every sacrifice to attend a Sunday
Mass. This is a very sacred and solemn
obligation. This is most pleasing to God.
People in the world so quickly and easily
make an excuse to miss a Sunday Mass. We
must get in a habit no matter what we go
to the Church and offer this sacrifice through
Jesus to the Father. The Father will bless and
give us His gifts and graces in abundance.

Day 57
If we believe in Mary and love her, we
must believe in her prayer and love her
prayer which is the rosary. And we must
say the rosary everyday with faith, love
and gratitude.

Day 58
"By prayer, we leave this earth. We leave
this material, visible world. We enter the
world of God. We discover the beauty of
Gods world. We experience a new joy,
new delight, and new pleasure. We
become spiritual beings. That is why
Jesus wants us to pray for ourselves."

Day 59

Day 60
Day 61

The living Christ is present in the Holy

Eucharist and He believes that we can
come into an intimate contact with Him
principally through this sacrament.

Day 62

There is clearly one commandment and

that is to love God.

Day 63
To love is to make friends.

Day 64

The love of Christ is something which He

Himself mirrors.

Day 65
Be poor as Jesus was poor.

Be inspired with Fr. Als words

everyday in sixty five days
Reflect how his words of wisdom
inspired almost 50,000 people all
over the world in order to make a
difference because he believed
that the youth is the hope of the
future
