Vacation Bible School / Youth Water Wars

Vacation Bible School was a huge success this July as around
40 different children (plus youth and adults) learned about
Gods faithfulness through the story of Joseph. We are grateful
to those who carved out time to serve our kids in wonderfully
creative ways.
Besides volunteering at VBS, the youth participated in SOS in
June, then a water war in late July. Those who are coming
out are enjoying the activities and getting to know one another.
Wednesday August 10th 6:30PM they will begin their regular
weekly youth group meetings again.
Young people are so very open to the gospel and are well
worth the efforts we make for them to learn about God. I
encourage you to get your kids to Youth Group / Kids Kingdom
/ and Junior Church. Plant now what you hope to harvest.

VBS Families

Nicaragua / Pigs
Two of us couples (Walts & Smiths) went to Nicaragua to spend time with
missionaries Tom & Esther Fritz this July. While there we also distributed
donated school uniforms and shoes. It was a different sort of trip than our
large groups, but it went so well it may become a pattern for the future.
BTW, is God asking you to join me on the Costa Rica 2017 trip?
As summer winds down, we will once again roast up an entire pig to be
shared with the church and community. This non-threatening event (as if
regular church is intimidating :-) is open to all our friends, family, and
neighbors. Mark your calendars for Saturday August 20th.
Mentally students and teachers are beginning to shift into the next
semester. As a church family lets begin the new school year with a strong
commitment to fellowship, prayer, service, and involvement. We are
restarting various groups and continuing successful outreaches. See
something we arent involved in that you are willing to lead? Step forward
and speak up. We are still exploring ways to be a blessing here in our new
community and YOU are empowered to serve.
