objectives?
Company / Organisation and description
Australian Red Cross is part of the worlds largest humanitarian organisation. As an
organisation independent of government and with no political, religious or cultural affiliations,
our aim is to improve peoples lives and build their resilience no matter who they are or
where they live.
The Australian Red Cross Blood Service is a division of Australian Red Cross and is funded
entirely by the governments of Australia. It plays a central role in the health systems of our
nation.
Vision, Mission:
Vision:

To improve the lives of vulnerable people in Australia and internationally by mobilizing the
power of humanity.
Mission:

To be a leading humanitarian organisation in Australia, improving the lives of vulnerable


people through programs delivered and promotion of humanitarian laws and values.
Key/Major Corporate Strategies
1. Engaging young people The Australian Red cross are committed to engaging young people

to support their vision, contribute to their work, and become their future leaders. They also work
to ensure that their services and activities are accessible to young people from all backgrounds.
2 .Embracing diversity The Australian Red Cross promote diversity in all its forms and, in
particular, this organization actively seek to combat racism and intolerance. They usually foster
a diverse and culturally aware workforce and strive to understand and respond to the needs of
the diverse individuals and communities with whom they are working with
3. Working as auxiliary to government and public authorities As auxiliary to the public
authorities in the humanitarian field, Red Cross is afforded a unique position in the humanitarian
sector which includes a specific mandate in times of war but extends too many other
humanitarian situations such as disasters and emergencies.
