Read the short diary correctly and then form letters and words to
complete the diary given.

Activities:

1. Teacher shows a diary.


2. Pupils read the diary and focus on stressed words.
3. Teacher guide pupils form letters and words in neat legible print
including cursive writing.
4. Teacher guide pupils to write about others events in the school.

Recite the rhyme with correct pronunciation and focus on the


stressed word Charlie, chick, chessboard, checks

Activities:

1. Teacher recite the rhyme, pupils listen and follow.


2. Divide pupils into groups.
3. Teacher recites the first line and point to a group at random to echo
what has been said.
4. Pupils repeat the activity once again in group to group.
5. Pupils copy The Lost Chick in their writing book.

1. Teacher introduces herself. (Name, where she lives?)


2. One pupil tells the class about himself/herself.
3. Pupils listen to and answering simple WH-Questions.
4. Continue the activity until most of the pupils have introduce
themselves.
5. Complete the exercise in activity books(page5).
6. Teacher says the addresses randomly based on the street map.

sounds in single syllable words within given context.

Success Criteria:

Read the short diary correctly and then form letters and words to
complete the diary given.

Activities:

1. Sound the sh sound.


2. Put the finger on the lips and say sh.
3. Say a word. Get two pupils to select a letter cards to form the word.
Blend two to four phonemes into recognizable words and read them
aloud.
4. Segment words into phonemes to spell.
5. Complete the exercise in activity books(page 6). Teacher say the
words, pupils colour them.
