can create this antique-looking
pendant to wear. It makes a
great gift for teens, too!

Rnd 4: Sl st in first ch-8 lp, ch 3, 7 dc in
first ch-8 lp, ch 3, [2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc] in next
ch-8 lp (shell), ch 3, *8 dc in next lp, ch 3,
shell in next lp, ch 3, rep from * around,
join in 3rd ch of beg ch-3.
Rnd 5: Ch 1, sc in same st, *[ch 3, sc in
next dc] 7 times, ch 3, shell in shell, ch 3,
sc in first dc of next dc-group, rep from *
around, end with ch 3, join in beg sc.
Rnd 6: Sl st in ch-3 lp, ch 1, sc in same
lp, *[ch 3, sc in next ch-3 lp] 6 times, ch 5,

Rnd 1: Ch 9, join to form ring, ch 3, 15
dc in ring, join in 3rd ch of beg ch-3. (16 dc

Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc in same st, 2 dc in each dc
around, join in 3rd ch of beg ch-3. (32 dc)
Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in same st, ch 8, [sk 3 dc,

Vintage Lace Pendant

[3 dc, ch 4, sl st in first ch of ch-4 just made


(picot), 2 dc] in shell, ch 5, sk next ch-3 lp,
sc in next ch-3 lp, rep from * around, end
with ch 5, join in beg sc, fasten off.
Weave in loose ends.
Finishing
Stiffen according to manufacturers
instructions, blocking so piece is square
and even; allow to dry.
Glue button to center of lace, forcing
shank slightly through center sp.
Insert jump ring into any corner picot on
Rnd 6. Thread cord through ring; knot ends.
Note: To make optional pin instead of
pendant, glue tie tack pin with clasp to back
of lace over button shank. Allow to dry thor
oughly. Omit jump ring and cord.
