WHEREAS, serious traffic congestion has been experienced surrounding the
Dumaguete Public Market Complex especially during peak hours, i.e. on
weekdays, from 6 AM until 8 AM and from 4:30 PM to 7 PM and on Sunday, from
5:30 AM to 9 AM.
WHEREAS, it has been observed that the major cause of the traffic is caused by
improper parking of vehicles along the streets surrounding the Public Market.
HENCE, there is a need to come up with a comprehensive parking scheme on
the areas where traffic congestion at the aforementioned place.
WHEREFORE, on motion of _______________, duly seconded by __________,
the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled:
RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, to recommend to the City
Mayor the arrangement of the parking areas around the Dumaguete Public
Market Complex and the Streets surrounding it, based on the attached proposed
parking scheme of Market Committee and the Traffic Management Office.
