For the information and guidance of the field, attached is a Memorandum from
FRANCISCO M. VARELA, Undersecretary and Chairman of DepEd Provident Fund, dated
January 8, 2014, and a copy of Resolution no. 02, s. 2013 increasing the amount of Provident
Fund loan within the approving the authorIty of the Schools Division Superintendent from PhP
30,000.00 to PhP 50,000.00.

Attached is a copy of Resolution No. 02, s. 2013 of the DepED Provident Fund
National Board of Trustees. Said Board Resolution increases the amount of Provident
Fund loan within the approving authority of the Schools Division/City Superintendent
from P30,OOO.OO to P50,OOO.OO.

RESOLUTION NO. 02, S. 2013

RESOLUTION INCREASING THE AMOUNT OF DepED PROVIDENT FUND

LOAN WITHIN THE APPROVING AUTHORITY OF THE

SCHOOLS CITY/DIVISION SUPERINTENDENT

WHEREAS, the Regional Board of Truste~<; of Region XI submitted its

Resolutions requesting that the amount of Provident Fund loan within the approving
authority of the Regional Director be increased from PlOO,OOO.OO to P200,OOO.OO and
that of the Schools Division Superintendent from P30,OOO.OO to P50,OOO.OO;
WHEREAS, in a meeting of the National Board of Trustees on December 23,
2013, the Board discussed these requests of Region XI;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the National Board adopts that the
amount of Provident Fund loan within the approving authority of the Schools Division
Superintendent is hereby increased from P30,OOO.OO to P50,OOO.OO;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the request of Region XI for the increase in
the amount of Provident Fund loan within the approving authority of the Regional
Director from PIOO,OOO.OO toP200,OOO.OO is hereby denied; the amount of the PF
regular loan shall remain at PIOO,OOO.OO and the grant of the additional loan in the
maximum amount of PIOO,OOO.OO under DepED Order No. 20, s. 2012 to be approved
by the Secretary of Education as delegated to his authorized Undersecretary shall remain
as is.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that the National Secretariat is hereby tasked to
prepare the necessary dOCUIIlenlation to implement this Resolution:
