How can you help Cooper Cares?

There are numerous

opportunities for support. We are currently searching for those
companies or individuals willing to match our lofty goal of 10K
hours of service. You can contribute by allowing our students to
participate in your organizations philanthropy projects. You and
your employees can volunteer at our Cooper Cares prearranged
projects. A Community Service Advisor is available to discuss
concepts.
The projects that Cooper Cares currently have scheduled involve
the transportation of students. A large portion of our Cooper
Cares budget is the cost of busing for our students. When we
collaborate with the middle schools and elementary schools there
are supplies needed for the projects; art supplies, snacks, or
books. Cooper Cares participants will be given a t-shirt to wear
during their service projects to identify them as volunteers at any
location.
Any financial contribution would be greatly
appreciated.

Our school district serves all or parts of Brooklyn Center,

Brooklyn Park, Crystal, Golden Valley, New Hope,
Plymouth, Robbinsdale, and Minneapolis. There are
more than 100,000 residents.

Cooper High School offers comprehensive curriculum

for students in grades 9-12. The curriculum prepares
students for rigorous post-secondary opportunities,
careers, and citizenship. Notable enhancements to
Cooper include the International Baccalaureate
Diploma Program (IB), college Board Advanced
Placement opportunities, the LINK Crew Transition
Program,
and
Advancement
Via
Individual
Determination (AVID).

Robbinsdale Cooper High School has a commitment to our

students, staff, families, and community. We are setting a
goal of 10,000 (10K) hours of service for the 20152016school year. The value of service learning goes beyond the classroom and has lifelong implications. We
appreciate the ripple effect that our service has in the community. A Community Service Advisor will align needs in
the
community with student service learning projects to
ensure that they are both appropriate and effective. The
diversity at Cooper is our strength, and projects will reflect
that distinction. We are energized by this challenge, and
know we can be successful with you help.

Service Learning is an educational tool that engages high school students to investigate, analyze, and problem solve within Cooper High
School and the surrounding communities as part of their academic experience.

Cooper Mission
To provide a caring and vibrant community where
all members are respected, we will educate students
to become active compassionate, principled, critical

Cooper High School has a vested interest in the success of those students attending feeder elementary and middle schools. We will collaborate with
Robbinsdale Middle School, Lakeview, Meadow Lake, Forest, and Northport Elementary to design projects that are the most beneficial to all parties
involved. Past projects have included reading to elementary students, tutoring in Math, questions and answer sessions with middle school students.
Students have donated their time to Feed My Starving Children., donated teddy bears to the Childrens Hospital of Minneapolis, organized the Relay for
Life, put together a Halloween Dance at Crystal Community Center, and many more projects.
