ROUND 1 SUBMISSION

Your submission is to comprise:


1. An Executive Summary in pdf format
2. A presentation video of 15 minutes maximum duration.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY REQUIREMENTS:


The Executive Summary is to comprise a series of specific sections as outlined below.
You may structure and present your Executive Summary in any way you desire, subject to
requirements as outlined.
1. Limited to a maximum of five (5) written pages.
2. To be provided in English (as is the video presentation)
3. You may add an additional 2 pages (maximum and optional) for a technical brief on the
technology(ies) contained within your overall proposed solution. This is optional only.
4. No mention is to be made of the universities your team members represent
5. Save and submit as file format ( [Team Name]_2016GBC R1_ execsummary)
6. The Executive Summary is to comprise these sections and are mandatory:
a. TEAM NAME
b. THE PROBLEM/OPPORTUNITY being addressed by the proposed solution
c. SOLUTION SUMMARY (the combination of proposed technologies and/or business
model comprising your proposed solution)
d. IMPACT on the provision of Health care Service (Australia and Global)
e. APPLYING THE PRIZE. If you were to win both the 1st prize ($100,000) and the
Queensland health Prize ($200,000 cash and in-kind) how would you propose this
funding could be utilised to progress to a proposed pilot or prototype.
f. IMPLEMENTATION AND COMMERCIALISATION. Briefly outline the vehicle for
implementation and commercialisation of the proposed solution which may be any
of :
A new (proposed) start-up
An existing start-up (operating under 2 years)
An established industry collaborator (operating longer than 2 years of age)
A university or research organisation partner OR
Not yet determined

VIDEO PRESENTATION PITCH


1. Your presentation needs to a maximum of 15 minutes in duration. Do NOT password protect
your video.
2. Place your team name in the file name (save as file name format[Team Name]_2016GBC R1_
presentation) and as a title on the opening of the presentation
3. You are encouraged to use visuals aids where appropriate.
4. Your format and structure of the presentation is totally up to you. HOWEVER, if English is
not your first language you should consider judicious (i.e. limited) use of PowerPoint slides
to aid in telling your story!
Submissions not conforming to minimum requirements may be penalised 10%.
