ABSTRACT
Today we are faced with new temporary and physical dimensions in the way and scales of our
everyday mobility. The way we move throughout the territory and the new relationship
between our physical environment have surpassed the urban scale, and it is being transformed
due to the use of new technologies in our advanced societies. These are also concern about
the environmental impacts of the urban and metropolitan mobility and have developed
Sustainable Mobility Plans. Particularly, all major urban and metropolitan areas in Andalusia
have drafted these documents in order to reach a more sustainable urban mobility. In this
paper we explore the proposed scenarios of the Urban and Metropolitan Mobility Plans in
Andalusia, comparing them with the trend scenarios linked to the existing data, and it is
warned the difficulties to reach them. In this sense they are also explored and proposed new
instruments based on management support systems, to manage the mobility near to real time,
as in the current style of smart cities, to reach a sustainable an integrated mobility system. The
new sustainable and integrated mobility system proposed should be promoted by the initiative
Action Plan Andalusia Smart 2020.
