The third person of singular (HE, SHE, IT) adds S or
ES at the end of the verb.

EXAMPLES
To express habits, repeated actions, emotions and
wishes:
I work in London
London is a large city and it has beautiful places
Laura gets up early in the morning
You walk for two hundred meters, then you
turn left and she waits for you.

PAST SIMPLE
Action in the past taking place once, never or several
times
Example: He visited his parents every weekend.
Actions in the past taking place one after the other
Example: He came in, took off his coat and sat down.
Action in the past taking place in the middle of
another action
Example: When I was having breakfast, the phone
suddenly rang.
