Dear Director Ancheta,

to express our sincerest gratitude and appreciation for the assistance you want to
extend to our City. We take this matter seriously knowing that it will be beneficial on our
side.
Recently, our City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMO) were
awarded as the 1st Placer of the Gawad Kalasag Award (National Level) conferred by
the Office of Civil Defense. We achieved the said award through the used of Geographic
Information System (GIS) which produced our own Vulnerability Risk Assessment Plan
for the year 2015. In addition thereto, the City Government had generated sets of
geohazard maps that are now being utilized especially in the prevention and mitigation
in times of disasters.
With this, we are attaching herewith a copy of the Vulnerability Risk Assessment Plan
crafted by the City Government. Any comments and suggestions thereto will surely help
our way of developing effective and efficient plan for the betterment of the City of
Santiago.
