In answer to your question: Father, are you settling in? I have

to say yes. I do have to admit that the humidity has been a little on
the high side, but I don't mind the heat, so I have been enjoying my
bicycle riding to get rid of extra-size. I have only been chased by a
couple of dogs so am glad that people obey the leash law here in the
county, for the most part.
Even though I gave you a Thank You for your helping above and
beyond last week. I want to repeat that I think it is great that the
debt is being paid without my having to remind you to use the
building fund envelopes. I even had a parishioner ask about the
envelopes because they could not find theirs. Building and remodeling projects are not always easy, but they are part of keeping
our facilities 'up to date' and remind us that maintenance to our
facilities is necessary. Again thank you for your generosity.
I hope everyone has enjoyed the County Fair...since I grew up
on a farm, I will be making my way to the fair-grounds to see what is
happening. I hope I can make it to the tractor pull. The fair WAS an
opportunity for us to be part of the larger community, a time to
reach out and show our faith without actually proclaiming but
simply showing our faith by our actions. I say 'was' because by the
time you read this the fair will be history.
