DEPENDABLE OFFSHORE HAMMERS

Overview

J. Ray McDermotts (JRM) experience includes

the use of some of the worlds most dependable
offshore pile driving hammers. Offshore hammers are available in energy ratings up to
1,253,000 ft.-pounds. All hydraulic hammers
have the capability of driving piles both above
and below the water surface. The hammers are
supplemented with an inventory of internal pile
elevators and external pile grippers that can
accommodate all pile sizes, up to 84 in. in
diameter and 1,500 tons in weight. All hammers have cable connections which allow retensioning, if necessary, without special tools or
training. All offshore hammers are available
with 3-wedge slide bars that let you manually
shift the trip to shorten the hammer stroke, and

most feature a large diameter ram point to

reduce breakage.
JRM offers deepwater hammers with the associated power packs and umbilicals in water
depths up to 4,000 ft. Rental systems are
available for deeper water.

the stringent demands of the offshore industry,
particularly of those contractors who specialize
in installing deepwater platforms in hostile
environments. JRMs hammers are specifically
designed and constructed to meet these
demands and have proven their reliability
many times.
