Professional Goals:
Goal

Actions

(What do you want to achieve?)

Dimension

(How will you accomplish

the goal?)

(When do
you anticipate
your goal will
be met?)

(What is/are the correlating

dimension(s)?)

Goal 1: During the 2016-2017

school year, I will improve my
use of technology during class
instruction.

Dimension(s): Planning
Dimension 1.4 - Activities

Goal 2: During the 2016-2017

school year, I will
accommodate the students
with interventions for students
that are behind, and with more
advanced questions to inspire
higher mathematical thinking
to the advanced students.
Dimension(s): Instruction
Dimension 2.4 - Differentiation

Targeted
Completion
Date

Evidence of Goal
Attainment
(How will you know your
goal has been met? How
will you know whether or
not it has impacted
instruction and student
achievement?)

I will use the TI-nspire

software as well as
other possible phone
apps to incorporate
technology in
exploratory
mathematics to learn
concepts. For example,
we can use this for
students to explore
methods for calculating
an integral via
rectangles.

By the end
of the school
year in
2017.

I will know if the goal has

been met because I will
have incorporated the
technology into my
lectures and into student
learning activities. It will
have impacted
achievement, because
they will have a stronger
understanding of the
concepts.

I will recognize when

students are lagging
behind and take
appropriate action to help
them during individual
guided practice during
class. For students that
appear to already have
mastery, I would invite
them to ponder more
serious math concepts
that are beyond the course
level.

The end of
the school
year in
2017.

I will understand if the

goal has been met,
because all students will
have received well
targeted instruction that
accommodates their prior
knowledge and
proficiency in
mathematics. Most
students will demonstrate
great knowledge on the
final exam and AP Test.

Goal 3: During the 2016-2017

school year, I will have my
students understand the
procedures of the classroom,
making sure to enforce the
rules, and that they will exhibit
good choices and respectful
behavior.
Dimension(s): Learning
Environment Dimensions 3.1
Classroom Environment and
Routines and Procedures, 3.2
Managing Student Behavior,

I will introduce the rules

and regulations on the
first day of class. The
daily routines and
procedures will be
rehearsed and practiced
as well during the first
week of class. I will
enforce the campus
policies consistently,
and observe district
rules in the classroom
for students to follow.

The first
month of the
school year.

I will know that the goal

has been achieved,
because students will be
making ethical choices,
being punctual with their
assignments and
attendance, treating one
another with respect, and
following the rules of the
school.

Part II: Goal Reflection (See Goals in Part I.) This section is completed prior to the end-of-year
conference.

b. Identify the professional development participation connections for this goal.
c. Describe how you used this goal and the professional development above to impact instruction
and student achievement.
d. What, if anything, would you have done differently? How will you extend this goal/learning?
Goal 2
